Habits are developed through repetition. Through the repetition of Hope in the Head, Hope in the Heart and Hands of Hope we can be and become People of Habitual Hope. This is good for you. And this is good for the world!

Your future is set. Jesus rose from the dead and he will raise all of you to new life. This is your hope. But there are many in this world who are running short on hope. How has God uniquely gifted you to be hands of hope in this world which often has no hope? When you don't have to worry about your future you are free to care about the future of others.

Having defined Christian hope last week, in today's sermon we ask the question, "So what? Does our future hope affect our present reality?" It should, but often it doesn't. In this sermon, we are encouraged to let our Christian hope be more than just something we know, but a truth that sees us through all of life's situations.

In this week's sermon, Christian hope is defined as a firm and secure anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6). This is contrasted with worldly hope, which is nothing more than just wishful thinking.

God hears all of our prayers and he answers them according to his good and gracious will. Sometimes his answer satisfies us, and sometimes we may wonder if he even heard us. Based on the parable from the Good Samaritan, we ask the question, "Why should we extend a helping hand in human need?" What's the reason that we want to help other people? Do we help others to make ourselves feel good? Do we help others to make the world a better place? Or, do we help others simply because they need our help and we are able to extend a helping hand?

Fellowship means more than just coffee and donuts. As a matter of fact, the Greek work "koinonia" means that there is an earthly element and a heavenly element happening at the same time. When we love and forgive as we have been loved and forgiven we have fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ while at the same time having fellowship with God himself.

Unity is a Christian concept at its core. Jesus Christ is the only way that people can be truly united in this world.

We are Alive in Christ because of who God is and who he has made us to be. It is our mission to continue being a vibrant and growing family of God, truly and fully Alive in Christ!

Before we can begin to accomplish the mission that God has before us, we must first acknowledge the fact that God is God and we belong to him.

The Apostle Paul faced incredible suffering for the sake of the Gospel, and yet he still found joy in the immense love of Jesus. How can we get through the difficulties of this life if not for the love of Jesus Christ?

What does it mean to "be a witness" of Jesus? Who do your eyes see today? What do your hands touch today? What do your lips speak today? How will you use these things today to testify the ways you have seen and experienced the risen Jesus?

The resurrection of Jesus Christ happened in history. It is reality. The reality of the resurrection makes your reality more real.

On Good Friday, Jesus’s body was ravaged, yet at the same time as he is being ravaged, he ravages the power of the devil. How has Jesus ravaged your enemies, or do you feel like the one who is ravaged?

On Maundy Thursday, Jesus reclines at the table to celebrate the Passover with his disciples. When do you recline in the presence of Jesus Christ and truly appreciate his nearness to you?
