Listen to how she gets herself, her corpse stealing husband, her gullible brother-in-law, and some random dude into a lot of trouble before becoming the oldest pile of incorruptible dust of all time. Plus, Anna does a good deed for a stranger (who is also her boyfriend) and Matthew tries to teach his son the right and w...
Margery Kempe – 9 November 07.11.2021 1:11:27
This episode we travel the world (and some crappy parts of England) with medieval mystic Margery Kempe. Saints Crispin & Crispian (plus a bonus blessed) – 25 October 23.10.2021 1:10:10
This week we talk about a pair of sole brothers, Saint Crispin & Saint Crispian. Christians by day, shoemakers by night; these twins lived life on the edge until the Roman Empire caught up with them and abused the noble tool that is the awl. Also, as a bonus we have the tale of the Blessed Carlo Gnocchi. Yes we make fun of his silly pasta name but then we find out he was actually a nice (if in...
Saint Teresa of Ávila – 15 October 10.10.2021 1:29:51
This week it’s a pious and erotic(?) journey around Spain with Saint Teresa of Ávila. She made it her life’s mission to organize convents and spread misery far and wide. Plus, Anna forgives Matthew for annoying her before the recording and recounts her pilgrimage to the holiest of places, Cornwall. Also, here is a cool video of people flipping over tables: https://vimeo.com/50506937 Please rate, r...

Bartolomé de las Casas – 18 July 17.07.2021 1:29:27
Stick with us here folks because Bartolomé de las Casas is a complicated guy. He tried to stop slavery and colonization in the New World but his solution was more slavery and colonization. Not great. But he was trying in his own way to make the world a bit better…we think…overall…possibly. Plus, Anna and Matthew talk sports! Please rate, review and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the s...
St Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows – 27 February 03.07.2021 1:13:14
It’s a special Independence Day episode with a secret theme as we follow the life of the fashionable, dancer Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows. Saint Solange - 10 May 08.05.2021 1:05:46
CW: Due to the martyrdom of this saint, we discuss violence against women and sexual assault. This episode we seek to understand the lessons of the life of #StrongBeatuifulPeasent Saint Solange (not Beyoncé’s sister, Matthew asks that right away) a beautiful and pious child, who could heal with her mere presence. Plus we get into how her dad was a bad wine farmer, have a surprise return of the Chr...
Saint Mark - 25 April 24.04.2021 1:13:57
We’re not going to lie to you; the life of Saint Mark is very confusing. Who is he? Did he write the gospel that bears his name? What does any of this have to do with Lions? None of these questions are answered in this episode but we do get into how he kind of fell into evangelism because of nepotism, the relative stumpiness of his fingers, how he liked to get naked at parties, and why it is...
Saint Gemma Galgani - 11 April 11.04.2021 1:20:14
It’s a lot this week as we talk about a saint who was a lot, Saint Gemma Galgani. What’s the deal with her pharmacist dad? Why was she too much to be a nun? Will Matthew be able to remember the email address? What did Anna’s boyfriend do to make him eligible for canonization this week? All these questions you didn’t have and more will be answered. Please rate, review and subscribe wherever you can...
Blessed Jeanne-Marie de Maille – 28 March 28.03.2021 1:11:16
This week we have some frivolous conversation about the life of Blessed Jeanne-Marie de Maille. She isn’t a saint (thanks patriarchy!) but she was still a pretty great person who lived a good life. You can hear how she was the least silly Baroness of Silly there ever was, her adventures sleeping in a big pile of dogs, and her later life as the nicest lady for miles around. Plus Anna and Matt...

Saint Abba the Great - 28 February 28.02.2021 1:12:48
Mamma mia, here we go again! In this episode we take a chance on the life of St Abba the Great. Will the tale of his life be our Waterloo and have us calling S.O.S? Probably not. Turns out he was a real super trooper and a guy capable of not only good deeds but great personal growth. We also learn how to thwart desert muggings and face our limits about what saints we can and cannot talk about. So...
Saint Valentine - 14 February 14.02.2021 55:43
What a get, it’s our first big name saint on the show! This week we travel from Italy to vaguely Africa with Saint Valentine (all three of him). And marvel at his life of annoyingly trying to convert friends and his miraculous curing of the adopted (of blindness). Plus Matthew talks about making mayonnaise which Anna insisted is a metaphor for Valentine’s Day. It absolutely is not. Please rate, re...

Saint Anthony the Great- 17 January 17.01.2021 1:07:29
This week we tackle the life of St. Anthony the Great and witness his many battles with animals and “demons” (probably also just animals) and question how many servants is too many servants to still call yourself a hermit. And while Anna teaches Matthew about the life of this important spiritual leader, Matthew teaches Anna about some of the great Monster Trucks of the ‘80s. So everyone’s life was...
