Rv8 (An Amateur Cinematic Podcast Experience)

A look back at game changing film moments of the past 40 years or so, all leading up to the year of 2008. A year that gave us the ONE movie scene that changed the business for the following decade (or decades) to come.

I am joined by husband and wife screenwriting duo Anthony and Kaylah Cantu to further discuss what it takes to be "The Guy". Also, a breakdown of the 2012 film Battleship. A film (Like so many others) specifically designed to forcefully push someone to be "The Guy" and how it (Like so may others) fail in doing so. (Recorded on location. An observation on the steps one must take in order to become the biggest star in Hollywood, and what having the title actually means.  Also, a brief history of the men who've held that title over the course of time leading into the 2010's...an entire decade of failed attempts to crown the next king.

Filmmaker/Writer Travis Lockhart stops by to add in his two cents on the "8 years of failure", and how cinematic black excellence is portrayed nowadays.
