Over time we can develop a hardness around our heart, a callousness of sorts. and just as God instructed the prophet of old to break up the fallow ground or the hard ground, He wants us to break up that callousness around our soul with the word of God through the power of the Spirit of God

The Accuser of the brethren (Satan) want to bring up even our repented of sins and use them against us. He even gets us to use them against each other. This creates discord, division and false guilt. This creates a shame based lifestyle rather than a grace based lifestyle

You could easily pick 10 verses that have changed your life and work on the one verse at a time. write the verse out on an index card read it 10x in the morning, 10 times at noon, 10...

We all have mentors and guides in our Spiritual life. The only Problem with human mentors is they all have feet of clay...that means they have fault lines in their lives. We all do. So we need one ultimate example which is Jesus
