The Canaanite woman shows us that in the light of everything Jesus has done for us through his death and resurrection, there is no “if-then” expression of faith that can satisfy God.  Pastor Austin Easter sermon, "Taking the Lord’s Name", reminds that Jesus came to give you a new identity, not a new to do or not to do list. Jesus doesn’t want you to change your behavior, he wants to give you a whole new identity. And as you grow to love and understand your identity as a forgiven child of God, behavior will follow. 

Jesus’ lowest point of popularity was when he needed people the most.
