 Roscommon Civil Defence have over 50 volunteers and they provide an essential service for the people in the county. Recently Roscommon County Council brought the local media to their headquarters to chat about their service. The visit was organised by Darragh Kelly who is the first voice we hear.

Eddie Egan is the Chairman of the Roscommon Parkinson's Association. A former All Ireland U-21 winner with Roscommon, Eddie has been dealing with Parkinson's for the past 6 years and he has been telling RosFM how he is dealing with the condition.

The Roscommon Parkinson's Association has been re-established and they are holding a major fund-raiser, a sponsored walk at Oran GAA Grounds on Sunday April 16th. Joe Byrne is one of the organisers and he spoke to Seamus Duke at the launch of the fund-raiser this week.
