The National Council of the Blind for Ireland have launched a 'Clear The Pathways' campaign to raise awareness of the problems faced by blind people or those with sight impairment when they are out on the streets of our towns and villages. Seamus Duke has been speaking to Kevin Kelly the NCBI about the campaign and the problems facing service users.

The growing number of violent assaults on our streets is becoming a major problem for the Gardai and the authorities. This week Emmett Corcoran says that parenting and personal responsibility will have to take more of a role if the problem is to be solved, or at least eased.

The annual Roscommon Agricultural and Trace Show will take place on Saturday August 19th at Hannon's Grounds. Seamus Duke was at the launch last week and his report is here.
