Are we really giving God our best, or are we just giving Him the time and effort and obedience we have left over. We see from Malachi, such things matter greatly to God. He wants our very best so that we can, with Him, proclaim He is the great King.

Do you ever feel like you are surrounded by brokenness and darkness? If so, you are not alone. So did Micah. Even though wickedness surrounds us, God is our hope, so look to and wait for Him. He is quick to love and slow to wrath. Turn to the Lord today.

Though judgment is coming, there is a hope laid out for God's people. He promises a future Shepherd King who will gather His scattered people.

God promises His people that He will come back for them. Even though they are guilty, He has plans for them in His Kingdom. This is good news for us as well. Though we are guilty, God has a plan and a Kingdom.

Micah gives God's proclamation that the people of God are guilty of turning their backs on Him.

As we start Micah 1, we are looking into a court case in which God is the judge and Micah is the lawyer. The people of God are on trial and they are guilty. Let us be reminded how much God takes our sin seriously. And let us be reminded that God is patient and long-suffering.

As we conclude Joel, God promises that justice will roll down. This chapter is all about God dealing out justice on the nations who have acted wickedly. It is a glimpse at the character of God.
