In 2 Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul assures his readers that while the end of the world is not upon us, it will be coming soon. Even then, though, we need not fear, for we have been chosen, saved, and called. What does that mean? 

The End of the World has already been fascinating for people to think about. For Christians in Thessalonica, though, it was downright terrifying--because they thought it had already started! The Apostle Paul writes to assure them that it hasn't. But that doesn't mean we don't need to be ready for it.

Jeremy DeBord teaches on "Do not be deceived by false teaching." The only way to not be deceived and know what is true and untrue is by consistently staying in God's Word.

Sometimes we run out of words to pray. In Scripture God gives us some beautiful and powerful prayers to pray for each other. One of those prayers is Paul's prayer for the Thessalonians in 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12. But there's still plenty to discuss in the prayer about God's will for our lives.

After hearing about how his new church was doing, he reached out again with words of gratitude and encouragement for them in the hard times they were facing. Even the introduction to this lesser-known letter offers helpful words for us as we seek to grow in faith and love in our own lives and church.

Food and weapons? Paul tells us how in 1 Thessalonians 5. And according to the apostle, while we have nothing to fear from the end of the world, there is plenty we can do to be ready.

6/4/23 In Thessalonians 4:9-12 Paul tells us to be ambitious...about being quiet. "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life." As we all know, the Simple Life isn't so simple, though.
