The Beatitudes address the heart and what really matters!

The last two verses of this letter we see a heartfelt summary of the whole letter- The Overseer/Elder must guard the deposit (Gospel). This is the job of the elder and reminder for the church.

In 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Paul addresses how Christians should view money and resources. He stresses two points—stewardship and generosity—with a gospel-centered perspective.

Our God is an Awesome God. Paul breaks out in praise in this letter to Timothy about how God is sovereign over all!

Paul gives some for specific instructions to Timothy on finishing well such as to flee, follow, fight, and fasten. These are great reminders for the Christian today!

Paul's words to Timothy was the warning of false teachers who were teaching godliness for gain. He then instructs Timothy with what is true godliness with contentment is gain which he is referring to Jesus as what we gain!

Pastor Mike Barksdale shares what Jesus has done in setting us free from sin and what that looks like in our lives.

The angel visited Joseph and shared with him how Mary was pregnant as they were betrothed. Immanuel, God with is coming! The greatest news shared, the one who would save us from our sins!

John has a vision of the new heaven and new Jerusalem where there will be no need for the sun because of God who will dwell with the believer. It is the Light that shines forever!

God is light and in him there is no darkness. What does it mean that he is the light, or how Jesus tells us that he is the Light of the world. We find out in this message.

The third group that Paul says to honor are those who are over bondservants. What does that mean and why as we look at this passage in 1 Timothy.

The relationship of care within the Christian community is important. The Bible gives direction on what does it look like in caring for the leaders of the church in this passage of 1 Timothy.

Continuing through the book of 1st Timothy, we read the exhortation to Timothy about being a good servant of Jesus Christ is faithfully presenting the words of faith and good doctrine.

We continue through the letter of 1st Timothy where Paul gives the seriousness of what the false teachers were doing. They deceive others and we must look to the Word of God in going forward.

Paul points out how the church is to behave but instead of giving a list of behaviors that one would expect he points us to Jesus in who we are to look to.

Deacons are much needed in the church. But not everyone can serve in that way. Paul gives some very specific qualifications of who can serve in this role.

The list that Paul gives is not about gifting but about character. It is important for the man of God to not only know what is expected of him but also the church.

Paul addresses within the church different roles and dangers within those roles for men and women.

Continuing through 1st Timothy we see how Paul encourages Timothy to pray for all people with a gospel perspective.

We think of fighting as a negative but are their things worth fighting for? Yes, as we read in 1 Timothy the Gospel is first among them.

The Apostle Paul shares how he had experienced the great mercy of God. This same mercy is shown to us.
