Anchored 23: Grow in Grace 25.09.2025 5:23
Life isn’t meant to be lived on “cruise control.” Peter’s final words call believers to a continual diligence—remaining spotless, at peace, and firmly anchored in Christ until His return. Rather than drifting, we are to grow daily in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus, shaping our lives by His patience and promise. Peter warns of those who twist truth to their own destruction, reminding us to sta...
Proverbs 2:20-22, "Persevere in Faithfulness" 24.09.2025 5:20
The path of wisdom leads to life, peace, and stability. The wise father assures his son that those who walk in righteousness will inhabit the land and remain in God’s blessing, while those who reject wisdom will be cut off. To choose wisdom is to join a community shaped by covenant faithfulness—people who do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. This way of life builds integrity, fosters...
Anchored 22: Make it Seen 23.09.2025 5:26
How can we know our salvation is real—and what should a transformed life look like? Peter answers by pointing to the visible fruit of faith: people who have been rescued from corruption should show steady growth in virtue and Christlike character. The question isn’t merely, Have I been forgiven? but, Is my life being changed? Scripture teaches that faith is to be supplemented—with virtue, knowledg...
Proverbs 2:16-19, "Guard Against Seductive Speech" 22.09.2025 4:39
The way of wisdom not only protects against deceivers but also shields from the lure of betrayal. Proverbs warns of the “forbidden woman,” whose smooth words mask the destruction she brings. Her unfaithfulness is not simply a personal failing but a rejection of covenant—both with her spouse and with God. Her promises are empty, her intimacy shallow, and her path leads only to ruin. To follow her i...
Anchored 21: Humble yourself so he can lift you up 19.09.2025 4:57
What motivates you day to day—and where do you place your hope? Peter closes his letter by calling leaders and everyone alike to humility in the midst of responsibility, anxiety, and opposition. The passage asks us to examine our posture: are we driven by pride, ambition, or fearful striving, or by humble service and trust in God? Peter teaches that humility shapes faithful leadership and faithful...
Proverbs 2:12-15, "Guard Against Deceptive Teaching" 18.09.2025 4:32
Evil always distorts what is good. Proverbs reminds us that God’s wisdom not only shapes character but also shields us from those who twist truth for their own gain. Deceptive voices entice us away from the path of life, masking perversion as virtue and mocking God’s ways as narrow or outdated. Through wisdom, the young son is safeguarded against corrupt teaching and those who hate what is good, b...
Anchored 20: The Outflow of God's Grace 17.09.2025 5:52
Through Christ’s suffering, we are invited into a new way of living—no longer chasing after empty pleasures, but living by the will of God. This life of grace looks radically different from the world around us, and at times it may even bring misunderstanding or hardship. Peter reminds us that God’s grace flows through us in everyday ways: by showing love that covers sin, extending hospitality with...
Anchored 19: Suffering Even When Doing Good 15.09.2025 6:24
Why would a loving God allow His people to suffer—even when they are doing good? Peter reminds us that suffering is not wasted in God’s design. In fact, some trials are tailor-made by Him to draw us closer to Christ, deepen our character, and display to the world how valuable Jesus truly is. Rather than shrinking back in fear or frustration, believers are called to respond to suffering with gentle...
Anchored 18: Proclaim His Excellencies 11.09.2025 5:12
Who are you? In a world where identity is often tied to politics, culture, or personal choices, Scripture points us to the truest identity of all—our identity in Christ. Peter reminds us that believers are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession. This identity is not just about belonging—it’s about purpose: to proclaim the excellencies of Him who called...
Anchored 17: A Call to Be Holy 09.09.2025 6:03
Salvation is not just about being rescued from sin—it is also about being raised to new life. Peter reminds us that we are ransomed, not with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. This undeserved gift calls us to live differently: set apart, holy, reflecting the character of the One who saved us. Holiness isn’t about entitlement or self-worth—it’s about gratitude. Because God has...
Anchored 16: The Lord is My Rock 05.09.2025 4:42
David opens this psalm not only with confidence in God’s protection, but also with deep affection: “I love you, O Lord, my strength.” His refuge is not found in the absence of storms but in the presence of the One who shields, delivers, and sustains him. Like the bird sheltering her young in the midst of a storm, David’s peace came not from calm circumstances but from trusting in God’s steadfast l...
Anchored 15: Present Your Best 03.09.2025 4:43
When Mary of Bethany broke open her alabaster jar of costly ointment and poured it on Jesus, some saw waste. Jesus saw worship. Her extravagant gift—worth nearly a year’s wages—pointed both to His coming burial and to His immeasurable worth. This passage invites us to consider our own posture toward God. Do we bring Him our leftovers, or our best? In a world marked by entitlement and self-interest...
Anchored 14: Whose Likeness is Inscribed on You 01.09.2025 4:38
When the Pharisees and Herodians tried to trap Jesus with the question of paying taxes to Caesar, He pointed to a coin and asked, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” Their answer—“Caesar’s”—led to His famous reply: “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” This was more than just a clever escape from their trap. It was a reminder of identity. Just...
Anchored 13: Bless the Children 29.08.2025 3:08
Children hold a special place in the heart of Jesus. In Mark 10, when the disciples tried to push them aside, Jesus became indignant and said, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” He then took them in His arms, blessed them, and affirmed their eternal value. In this passage, we’re reminded of two vital truths: We must receive God’s Kingdom with...
Anchored 12: First Things First 27.08.2025 4:58
Anxiety feels unavoidable in today’s world—threats to survival, uncertainty about the future, and pressure to prove our worth can weigh heavily on our hearts. Yet in Matthew 6, Jesus gives us a clear command: “Do not be anxious.” But how? This passage reminds us that freedom from worry is found not in controlling outcomes, but in reordering our values. Jesus points us to creation—the birds of the...
