Only by finding a greater joy in God Himself will we begin to let go of the lesser things that ensnare us.

Jesus is our true Rescuer who bowed the heavens and came down to us.

Jesus is not often the Savior we expect, but He is always the Savior we need.

Our longings for freedom, peace, and rest are only fulfilled in Jesus and should therefore drive us deeper in our trust of Him.

The account of Joseph reconciling with his brothers helps us understand some things about how we reconcile with other people. But even more so than that, Joseph's reconciliation with his brothers points us to our need to be reconciled with God. Because of Jesus’s saving work for us, we can know the peace of a reconciled relationship with God as we pursue reconciliation with others.

Through the story of Joseph, we learn that God works through broken people in broken circumstances to save His people.

When we’re confronted with our own sin, we can humbly confess, repent, and trust that God remains faithful to His promises and purposes for us. 

Jesus leads us beyond our fears to respond rightly when we’re wronged.

Since Jesus is our gracious Lord, you can stop running from Him and trust that He will guide you through all the trials of life, even the trials of your own making.
