I can't wait to catch up with Jess and her husband again in the future to swap a hunt and hear some of his stories around a campfire! If y...

After a scheduling issue occurred this week, we sit down to discuss their recent turkey hunt. Walt drove down to Gainesville to hunt with Chase on what is most likely his only chance to hunt birds this year. The clock was no ally to us as I only had a few hours to chase birds before other commitments required my return to Tallahassee. We talk about the last giveaway AND we drop some subtle hits ab...

While this week's episode took a little longer to come out, I am confident it was worth the wait. Jay Scott, of Jay Scott Outdoors, joins the podcast and talks about the diverse and challenging pursuit of hunting turkeys in Arizona. Much like Florida, Arizona has an incredibly diverse population of turkeys and from the sounds of it, it provides the turkey hunter endless possibilities and adventure...

On this episode Sean Curran and Bruce Tague of the Sportsmen's Alliance sit down to discuss the current legislative victories and concerns, both on a national and state level. Currently, Bruce and his team are monitoring 48 active legisla...

We have some exciting things in the works and that should come out on a future episode, but...

What is the worst, best outcome that you could envision for your deer season? Odd question, right? This week we talk to Curt Geier about his hunting season and the way he spent his deer season in Illinois. And before you get to feeling bad for Curt, don't let the title fool you. This was one helluva great year for him. If you'd like to contribute to the show, we now have a Patreon account set up a...

Some folks are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, others are born with a lucky horse shoe up their rear. This week's guest is the latter, and he pretty much exhausts the luck for the rest of us. So if you're eating tag soup this week, it's likely Jared's fault. This week, Jared comes on to break down his incredible hunt out west. They dodged wild fires, got onto incredible bucks over and ove...

How do you handle adversity? Have you ever done something and are unsure if what you did was legal in the outdoors? Would you have the nerve to call the warden and potentially report yourself? This week's guest did exactly that when he was uncertain if he had made a legal harvest. This week's guest is Pete Johnson. I got to speak with Pete because he is the Uncle of a dear friend of mine, guest of...

On this week's episode, we are joined by Jack and Preston of the DIY Hunter and we share Part 2 of their Idaho Elk hunt from this past Fall. This episode series was supposed to be semi-live, but a hurricane, and then technical and scheduling difficulties delayed it's recording. Jack and Preston had a great time chasing elk all over the mountainside, and this time they didn't forget water! They hav...

This week I was joined by my dear friend, Derek Varnum as we recap an awesome three days of bowhunting whitetails in the Sunshine State! This week I am joined by a fellow Saddle Hunter and die hard whitetail hunter, Ted Bright. Ted has a unique way of looking at outcomes in the deer woods that many of us could learn from. Hailing from the land of milk and honey, Missouri, Ted employs Beast style tactics to get deep into areas others may not wish to go in order to chase mature whitetails. He shares his highest high and lowest low wh...

On this week's episode we are talking BEAR HUNTING. That's right, we are talking bowhunting Bear in Virginia. We will be sharing the story of his recent bear kill, the complex recovery, and discuss wha...
