The Holy Spirit wants to produce his fruit in our lives, we are dependent upon him doing so. Here we look at ways that we can hinder or help this process.

This Sunday we were joined by guest speaker Steve Hurd from The Ark Church. Steve encouraged us about the power of an invitation and how one invitation can make a huge difference to people’s lives.

Is it enough to have had a one-off experience of the Holy Spirit we look back to? Alison tells us why we should go on being filled and empowered each day and the difference it will make to our lives and the lives of those around us.

God has adopted us as his sons and daughters but we don’t always live like it. The only way we can is by being filled with the Holy Spirit. Here’s Dan to explain more.

Jesus said that “rivers of living water” will flow from within those who believe in him. He also talked about being born of the Spirit and baptised in the Spirit. From the day of Pentecost onward the Holy Spirit has been transforming the church and individual Christians to move in power for living and witnessing.

This week we were joined by Richard Anniss from Kings Church in Manchester. Richard encouraged us to think about where we get our identity from, because, it is as we understand our identity as children of the eternal God that we are able to live as exiles in the culture we find ourselves.

This week we look at Daniel 4 and what happens when we try to build things our way and be king of our own kingdoms. Dan encourages us instead to look to Jesus and to partner with him in building his Kingdom here on Earth.

Looking at Daniel 3 we see how three friends offer the beautiful resistance against the idolatry of Babylon. From the three friends we can gain understanding how we can offer the same beautiful resistance, without losing our integrity or joy in the current cultural moment we find ourselves in.
