Which is better - the gift or the giver? Today, I talked about gift giving, and how God isn't concerned with the gifts we bring, but is instead concerned about us. Likewise, we should do the same with Him. When we're focused on the gifts we bring, and neglect the God who brings them, we're making an idol out of His gifts and worshipping the gift over the giver. Today, I ponder on what the shepherds must have felt when the angel told them the good news of the coming Messiah. They'd been waiting for the Messiah for thousands of years and He was finally here. And that's what I call hope.
