Simon uses the story of the woman at the well in John 4 to explain how important it is to listen to the Holy Spirit talking to us in our everyday lives and how we can therefore see the world differently.

Before Simon introduces this new 10 week series where we hope to grow as a church in responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we hear from Martin Franks about his story leading up to him becoming our latest Assistant Pastor today.

Chris unpacks this well-known story that appears in all 4 gospels – it is the story of a miracle, 5000 men + women and children fed from so little. Four times means it is important! Today Jesus says to us “you feed them” or “you go and make disciples”. People are hungry – spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually – Jesus tells us to feed them.

In part four of this series Red Letters….the words of Jesus, Amy explains Jesus’ words in the ‘great commission’ in Matthew 28: 16-20 where he assures and promises to always be with us.

In part three of the current series looking at the words of Jesus, Simon explores what Jesus had to say about worry and anxiety.

In part two of the series looking at the words of Jesus in the Bible Chris uses Mark Ch2 V1-12 exploring questioning faith. “Faith is not about not questioning, it’s about your actions despite your questions.”

Julian Barnard launches our summer series on The Red Words of Jesus with John 15 verse 9. We are invited into a wonderful relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. Julian considers how we can abide in and develop our relationship with God.

As Simon concludes this final talk in the Galatians series we get to appreciate the apostle Paul's summary of the preceding chapters and completeness of God's work in the "finished work" of Jesus Christ.

Simon explains how one of the burdens the apostle Paul mentions is the weightiness of our temptation to give into sin, and the heaviness of trying to get out of it. Paul wanted us to share that burden and not battle sin and temptation on our own.

Simon looks at how the gospel affects how we relate to each other and how we should overcome our hunger for honour from each other.

In part 5 of this series on the book of Galatians, Simon explains the Apostle Pauls allegory of Hagar and Sarah is written to persuade us (along with the Galatians) not to follow the Judaizers into slavery with Hagar and Ishmael, but to follow Sarah and Isaac into freedom.

“In my Father’s house There’s a place for me I’m a child of God Yes I am” This verse from the Hillsong Worship song ‘Who You say I am’ sums up this talk by Simon from the book of Galatians. The gospel puts us into the Fathers house we don’t have to be worried or insecure about our future, about whether we’re accepted.

Joel explains how the apostle Paul is explaining that everyone trying to live by the law is under a curse. Christ became the curse for us so the same blessing given to Abraham may be given to all who believe. Julian continues our series in Galatians considering Pauls desire to share grace and freedom in Jesus. Christian unity is important, more so than our personal preferences. At our Easter family communion service Simon explains the Easter story with the help of several short videos.

Jesus told us we would bring salt and light to our communities. The Message puts it this way, “You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavours of this earth. You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world…”
