Rikochet JMA

Finally, part 2 is available after the first release in 2013. I actually made 2 different sets in this mix, recorded immediately after I made the first set but I got distracted with new tunes, moving house and life in general. I had always intended to release either a techno mix or the old skool jungle mix (which is the 2nd half mostly), but now I’ve combined them and added a few extra gems for yo...

I've been working on this set for a few months, but needed to wait for a few GBW tunes to arrive late after the Christmas break. It was worth it. This is proper Jungle at its BEST! Listen until the end, I truly think every track gets better as it goes. Full of PROPER OLD/NEW SKOOL JUNGLE TINGS! If you like this mix you'll love this https://soundcloud.com/djrikochet/strictly-95-ruff-amen-mix-rikoch...

This mix could have easily become Vol 9 part 3 because of the similar style of tunes, feel and tempo. So if you liked Vol 9 parts 1 & 2 then you're in for a treat. My first set for 2020, starts with an epic soundscape by Shell followed by some blissful new-skool jungle from the legendary Dutch producer Sully (one of my favs at the moment for sure). Followed by a number of rasta sounds, upbeat melo...

The Original Vol 9 was 2hrs, so I decided to split it into two sets, mainly because I think the 2nd half might actually be better than the first half and didn't want peeps to miss it. LMK your thoughts, reposting is appreciated and LIKES even more - thnk you! Possibly the last set for 2019, although if my tunes arrive in time there may be one more. We'll see. Here's Part 1 in case you missed it ht...

Plenty of AMEN beauties in this, melody, female vocals & flowing chords with a tone of heavy beats for AMEN lovers. a great way to spend your Christmas arvo after some Christmas cheer. Hi all, I’ve decided to release my 2019 Halloween 🎃 👻 set early this year because I’m traveling over the next few weeks. Its heavily influenced by the “original works of Equinox “ release, Bizzy B and Peshay. Equinox (aka Marlon Sterling) kicked off his music career back in 1993, when he released The Brain Crew EP with Bizzy B; he was only 15 at the time. Now, 8205 Recordings has managed to conv...

After moving into my new home in the TREE FARM estate in Santa Barbara, C.A. this month, I made the previous TREE FARM MIX, but I had so many tunes to choose from and got caught up in the mixes. I finally put my foot down and settled on a mix that I liked, it was a 55min set, which, for those who know me, is short, so I had lots of unplayed tunes left to add, so I created this. Believe me, there's...

Another darkside jungle techno set in the spirit of 93. I made it a few months back but I can't hold off on releasing it anymore. It's been on repeat play for ages but now needs to be shared. A few wines on Mothers Day was the inspiration haha. Lots of gems in here, unreleased dubs and some new magic from 2017-2019 as well. I'm addicted to this music, what can I say.. I just love it! Please add co...

Set was originally made in early 94 out of my house in Sydney. Was living in Brougham Street, King Cross, just down the road from the famous Sunday recovery party O'Malley's Hotel, where fruit platters were served in bean bags after a long and hard night raving. Man.. those were the best days. A trip down memory lane. NJoy! TRACK LIST - N4CER 2 – SIDE A 1. (Intro) Knite Force Records KF17AA2, CRU-...

Big Ups to Tactical Aspect for their first release on AKO with Surrender & Reset and for making such wicked tunes. See http://akobeatz.com/product/tactical-aspect-akob10-digital/ & The Killa Kuts Album, https://tacticalaspect.bandcamp.com/album/killa-kuts It's hard to pick a favorite tune, but if I had too it would be a toss-up between E Is for, 368ft or the Clash - NJoy! Tracklist 1. Fields of Vo...

Made in 2018, released March 16th 2019. Following on from the popular modern style jungle in Vol 5, Vol 6 keeps with the jungle vibe from beginning to end with an almost LTJ Buken like style. If feels like liquid but with much ruffa amens. Lots of melody and cruisy riddims. I almost named it "Rustafari Mix". Look out for Amen Bullets Vol 7. later this week, first one for 2019. NJoy! #Jungle Trackl...

Downloads disabled until this hit 50 likes. The DJ Comp is over. I came 2nd or 3rd depending on who you ask because of the comp formatting, but none of that really matters. I think its a sick mix. Gave me a chance to choose from 350 "best voted" tunes from the era and add many tunes I've had for yonks and not recorded. Its a hardcore 92 set with lots of happy moments towards the end. The only mini...

Another unreleased all-vinyl DJ set from the dusty vault. Inspired by the Gatecrasher vinyl series and Way Out West at the time. These times were epic, a combination of deep house, progressive house and the early days of the breaks revival. I can't remember why I made this set or where I was at the time, but the tunes are consistent with what I was playing almost daily at the time. I'd had a break...

This partial mix, probably one of my fav mixes of the time, emotions run deep with this one, the last recorded mix with the fallen legend MC Kray(my JB)alongside vocalist Janie Prickle. JJJ Mix Up session 1 of 3. The second half includes the original sounds of Syndicate from Sydney's own Newcastle. Never released until now - April 2018.

I went through many mixed emotions putting this 3 hour set together out of MASSIVE RESPECT for the recent fallen DJ Tango (Jamie Giltrap). He was my favorite Jungle producer of all time. With over 50 of his tunes & remixes, you'll see just how talented he was. From early Rave, Jungle Techno, Jungle from the golden era, awesome jazzy/intelligent jungle to his more current club style drum & bass wit...

I'm 47 now, feeling old. My hero, DJ Tango died just a few weeks ago. He was the same age as me (born 1971). Like everyone else, we were very surprised of his passing - R.I.P. Tango. His legendary tunes will live on forever. It made me reflect, life really is short. So I've decided to post a number of random sets that I've made over the years or they will be gone forever (probably). I made this la...

Loving this new but old style of Jungle - right in my sweet spot. Its really my fav style of al the styles I play. Maybe my fav set out of the Amen Bullets series so far. Tough choose but its good long weekend material - Njoy Donate if you download or just appreciate the music Tracklist - TDK (Original Mix) - Scanners EP 2017 - Taxman Ricky Force - Severed Stasis (Original Mix) - SECOPS025 2017 -...

A tough decision! - Spinage Vol 19 or Amen Vol 4 - this is perfect blend of new skool versus old 2017. A darkside style set full of amen smashers and a number of new-skool deep style steppers. Been working on the mix for a few weeks but it happened to land on ANZAC day. I'm Australian born, A British citizen and happen to live in USA. Spent 6 years in the Australian Navy, left in 1994, the best ye...

5 days in Palm Springs California this week. Celebrated my birthday and Easter all in one. Been working on this for a while but it magically came together while on vacation near the pool with drink in hand. More on the intelligent side of 2016/2017 drum & bass. It feels like 1996 but sounds like 2017. Full of AMEN smashers, melodic strings & jungle riddims that would keep a club dance floor bounci...

A set dedicated to the legends of dark & mysterious amen style jungle. The originators, Photek, Source Direct, Metalheadz, Tango, Current Affairs, Reinforced and newcomers from Green Bay Wax. The deeper side of jungle, will take you on a journey for sure. Enjoy!
