In this new series 'Jesus - Simply the best' we' will open the book of Hebrews to get a better understanding of who Jesus is, and why he is the very best foundation we can build our lives on. In Hebrews 1:1-4 we'll see that Jesus is the best because he is the God who speaks.

This year we are looking at three Christmas promises which centre on prophecies in Isaiah and how Jesus fulfils them. As we welcome guests and visitors for a service of Carols and Cake we'll be thinking about God's promise of true rest, in the perfect kingdom in Isaiah 11:1-9, and Matthew 13:31 -35.

In a season of indulgence, we are thinking about temptation, and how despite what the advertising gurus want us to think, it isn't a trivial matter. We'll see Jesus tempted in the wilderness in Matthew 4:1-11 where Zane Elliott will walk us through the three trials, Jesus' responses to them, and three truths Christians can hold on to as they face temptation.
