Bowden played in Richmond's 1969 premiership. This interview with Rhett Bartlett took place in 2012. In the subsequent years, Mike has been raising money for research into MND, of which he was diagnosed with in 2018.

"Were you opposed personally to conscription?" 'No, I just didn't want to be in the army at that time because it buggered up my life a bit, or I thought it would. As it turned out it taught me a lot more about life...it was good for me."

Ep 58: In 2000, I interviewed then 100 year old supporter Jack Higgins, who carried the bags of 1917 RFC captain Max Hislop, saw Vic Thorp play, and was one of the kids injured by the falling pavilion at the Richmond Cricket Ground on May 26, 1920. Interview by Rhett Bartlett.

Ep 55: Peter Stylianou played w/ Richmond U19s as a 15 yr old. His time at Tigerland ended as a 19 year old. His life was saved during a Richmond match, by a Richmond coach. "It's got its up and downs. That's football, I quite like that. That's what makes memories I suppose."

Neil Ross played in the infamous Richmond vs Swan Districts 'Escort Cup' match. U19s + Reserves 1978-1982). Later became a development coach at West Coast Eagles, and recruiter at Collingwood and Fremantle. Interview by Rhett Bartlett. "About 5 days after game against Swan Districts, I got run over by a car. I was in hospital for 3 months."
