As Sunday's edition of REX wrapped up, Hamish McKay and Rebecca Greaves debrief the week of damage, devastation, and destruction after Cyclone Gabrielle commanded the national conversation.

Heading south now for a break from the devastation to discuss AgriTech…  We’re looking at subsurface drip irrigation systems…  It provides water slowly and steadily to the root zone of the plant, as opposed to a traditional irrigation system which saturates the soil from the top down…  Cust dairy grazer Gary Robinson has been trialling the system on his farm, and he joins us now.

Some incredible stories of rescues are emerging in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle, with ordinary people stepping up to help those around them. We’ve got Tony Leggett, NZ Farm Life Media Managing Editor to tell us some of the stories from the ground.
