The big finish at the end of the book of Ruth is...a genealogy! At first glance its not obvious why the story would end this way but Duncan shows us how the author is actually pointing out how this small story has a place in the greatest narrative in history!

Boaz has agreed to marry Ruth, and to care for Naomi, but first he must speak to another redeemer who's responsibility it should be to care for these widows. Robin leads us through the passage showing us that although the other man had the right of redemption, it was the sacrificial care of Boaz which made him the right redeemer.

What would your life look like if you really believed that God was going to provide extravagantly and abundantly for you? Duncan shows us how we can start to see a change in Naomi when she realises fully for herself that there is provision for her, and how we can begin to follow in her footsteps

The middle of the night on the threshing floor isn't the most obvious setting for a marriage proposal, but this is exactly what we see in Chapter 3 of Ruth! Rhian leads us through the story, shedding some light on this strange scenario and reminding us that we get to respond to God's provision with faith for more!

How can the law given to Moses lead to blessing for Naomi and Ruth? As these two women arrive in Bethlehem with nothing, it isn't long before they get to experience abundant provision that had been planned for them long before they knew they needed it.

Repentance is a bit of an awkward word for us today. Here we see Naomi's dramatic return to Bethlehem, which is more like a story of repentance than it might first appear, and we see why we shouldn't shy away from repentance, but embrace it as we follow Jesus.

In the first few verses of the book of Ruth we learn of Naomi moving to Moab with her family and losing everything. Duncan kicks off our new series by showing us how Naomi was emptied as she left the land of God's promise, and sets us up to see in the coming weeks how God will fill her again.

Ever wonder what God is doing in the midst of our hardships? In 1 Peter, we see that all the difficulties we go through, not only reveal our faith to us in a way that nothing else can, but they even cause our faith to be purified.

We've heard a lot of wisdom how to live through the Sermon on the Mount, but why should we live the way of Jesus? In this final part of the series, Duncan unpacks the three different images Jesus uses and shows us how all of them point us to implications of being true disciples of Jesus.

It's a rule you know, and it's one we're all convicted by. Matt continues our Sermon on the Mount series by unpacking what Jesus' listeners would have heard in the instruction to treat others how we'd want to be treated, and why we get to approach that rule with such assurance.
