God is a miracle worker, and we praise Him for the great things He has done! But Jesus was tough on those who didn't repent after seeing his miracles. Are we thirsty for miracles but unprepared to commit to the ways of God?

Throughout Scripture we see God making a way for his people - even when there seems to be no way. In today's COVID-19 crisis, could it be that God is still making a way?

I hope we all have used this time of lockdown to nurture our relationships - with God, and with those close to us.

In lockdown, it feels like we are all waiting in limbo. Let's remember today that those who wait on God will renew their strength and fly on wings of eagles!

The second "O" is for "offer". What a wonderful opportunity to deepen our prayers lives, in this time of lockdown.  Let's offer prayers for all affected and for those who are leading our nation through this crisis.

Not only can we dwell IN God's presence in this time, but we can dwell ON His goodness and find our fears calmed.

The "K" in "lockdown" is for "know". Christians can have assurance, and know that God is with them, because they have gotten to know His voice.

While listening to God's voice is important, it's pointless without obeying what He says. Let's use this time of quiet to not only pay attention to His voice, but to obey it!

During this time of self-isolation, we can quit our Martha-like busyness and like Mary, listen closely to the words of Jesus.

When  John Wesley was caught in a deadly storm, he panicked... and marveled at the faith of his Moravian friends who simply sat calmly and sung in peace. He learned that his faith was too small. Are we trusting that death is not the end for us as Christ-followers? When death comes, let us not be found cowering in fear, but singing for joy.

A prayer for the South Africans going into the 21 day lockdown at midnight , 26 April 2020.

While WE must follow protocol by social distancing, let's be reminded that God's hand of love is still reaching out to us. Jesus touched the lepers, and he reaches us out to us even today.
