We know that we should thank God in spite of our trials, but have you ever tried thanking Him FOR them? In doing so, we rob the darkness of its power.

How often we say we'll pray about something and we don't! But perhaps when we are prompted or asked to pray about something, we should stop and pray right then.  Maybe something wonderful will happen when we do!

John Piper's definition of holiness teaches us to revere God for who He is.

The Bible only repeats one of attribute of God threefold: and it's to tell us that He is holy, holy, holy. Let's honour Him for this today!

Whether in good our bad times, our prayers should be ringing with praise, trust and thanksgiving. 

A good measure of your spiritual health is your level of gratitude. Are you able to thank God for your blessings today, whether in good times or bad?

A great illustration reminds us today that even if we can't see the full picture the great Painter is still at work on our canvas. We can trust him.

A classic Matt Redman song reminds us that whether God gives or takes away, His name is to be praised!

Whether in good or bad times, Paul found his strength in Jesus. Perhaps life is great for you today, or perhaps it sucks... will you find your strength in Christ like Paul did?

James rightly says that it's not right for praising and cursing to come from the same mouth. Jesus goes as far as to say that calling someone an idiot puts you in spiritual danger. Let's rather pray when we feel tempted to curse!

Two rules for the way we speak: if you have nothing good to say, don't speak; and if you have something good to say, say it!

Where our sin increases, God's grace increases all the more. Can the same be said of the way you talk to others? Does grace increase in our speech?
