Who are you?  In this series we'll continue our Easter discussion by digging into our God given identity.  In week 1 we are beginning the conversation. You are...,  Love. Yes. You are love because you are God's. God is love. God cannot help or cannot choose not to love. God created you in love and for love.  But what is Love? 

He is Risen. He is Risen Indeed!  So what's the big deal? A LOT.  Today's we'll focus on one simple truth: You're IN. You've always been in, you'll always be in. The world will tell you something else. The church hasn't always told you but it's true. You are IN. 

What is sin, what's the big deal, what does it do to us, to others?  What if sin is less about what you do?  What if Christianity is not about moral and behaviour modification?

The Bible seems to paint two different pictures of God: Yahweh and Jesus. Are they different? Are they the same and how do we understand them? We'll discuss a theology called progressive revelation as a means of understanding the God revealed in the stories of the Old Testament. God has always been like Jesus. God doesn't change, our opinion of God does.

This week we discussed how Jesus is the Word of God and the bible is not. We’ll be asking how the bible has and is used often still to refute Jesus and how as anabaptist we resist the urge to say, “But the bible says…” We do not follow the bible we follow Jesus. We respect and love the bible because Jesus did. The bible is a big deal but not as big as Jesus.

The way it's been done doesn't mean it's the way it should continue  We are Pioneers: A Culture of Adventure and Innovation — We open consider and pursue creative new ideas that contribute to our shared sense of mission We are Planters: A Culture of Multiplication — We dedicate ourselves to natural, healthy growth and expansion while embracing intentional ongoing relationships.

Partygoers: we passionately celebrate God and people. And yet this world is unhappy and for plenty of reason. As a culture we often strive to party as a means of ignoring the pain.  Here at Reunion you will see us at your party because you saw us in your pain. We are a crew that creates space to be honest and real in all moments and for all emotions. 

In such a polarizing culture of sides Jesus invites us to the important work in the middle - peacemaking where we join in putting things back together. The peace that Jesus seeks is one rooted in anti violent pacifism not passivity.  

Who is Reunion Belleville? We are people, a culture of table where we open our hearts and lives to one another by choosing relationship and creating space. Church is not an event we attend but a lifestyle of apprenticeship we engage. This lifestyle is one that was created to be shared in community where we can admit differences in our unity to Christ. 

This week we really dig into the need for a balanced apprentices that includes teaching and practice 

Who is Reunion Belleville?  We are apprentices to Jesus. We are people who are learning and practicing to be with Jesus, become like Jesus and live like Jesus.  Apprentice? Why not disciple? Apprentice is a modern with that means the same thing and recaptures the essence that we are a people who do not just gather to talk about Jesus but are learning to live like Jesus.
