In the parable of the Shrewd Manager, Jesus teaches how we can invest our temporal money to get an eternal return.

The parable of the ten virgins was shared by Jesus to help people to see what the kingdom of heaven will be like on the day of his return. Nathan shares how knowing and being known by Christ is the difference between being prepared or unprepared on that day.

We all want to achieve things off our own bat. But what is the limit of our own achievement? In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus shows a lawyer how his desire for achievements don’t really achieve much at all. 

Jesus taught in parables to reveal the truth to some and hide the truth from others. In the parable of the sower Jesus reveals the truth about how the gospel is going to be received by those who hear it and why.

Life is short, eternity is long. Jesus has made all the preparations for you to dwell with him and the Father forever. Lock it in, anchor your life to it, look forward to every moment of it.

While Jesus’ command to love one another is a tall order for us, there is an internal logic and helpful order to how it is meant to operate – being loved always precedes loving others.

In a relational sense, there probably isn’t anything more head-spinning and destabilising than betrayal. In this section of John, we see Jesus walk through his own betrayal with his disciples.

There is a connection between your performance and your behaviour, but it is not the one we most commonly make. In the washing of the disciples’ feet, Jesus shows us how it is meant to operate.

Glory. Jesus has it in spades. But the way he gets it blows our fuses. It just doesn’t fit with the way we normally go after it. Listen in as Peter explains.

All of us are searching for transformation in one way or another. We all want to be saved from something. When Jesus died on the cross he wasn’t necessarily the saviour humanity wanted but he was the one we needed.

Anyone who has been a Christian for a significant length of time will be able to tell you there are times in their lived experience where God is hidden. Prayers don't seem to go past the ceiling, God seems distant, and hope seems far away. Listen in as Peter takes you through a time in the life of Jesus where he was hidden and the hope within it.

The only way to really know a person is to be in relationship with them. Whilst this is the case with everyone, it is even more so the case with Jesus. Those on the outside who only know about him, don’t really know him as the hero he truly is.

Jesus is the good shepherd for good reasons. He is a defender, he is close, and he is powerful.

Jesus calls his people sheep. Sheep are vulnerable animals, animals which can be hurt by all sorts of things. Jesus is a shepherd, and he is also the gate to the sheep pen. In him we have security and the opportunity to live life at its best.

Christmas is a beautiful time of year: We wrap presents, hang decorations, and put up Christmas trees. But the most beautiful part of Christmas is Jesus himself. Listen in as Peter unpacks Jesus’ birth announcement in Isaiah 9.

Jesus was there at the beginning bringing everything God had spoken into being. He is the Word which became flesh in order to re-create again. For those who are experiencing death this Christmas there is one who is life.

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him. Jesus was given three gifts when he was born. Understanding there significance tells the gospel and can help us worship him with satisfaction.
