Jesus is a true king. He always operates in line with who he is and is never diverted by external or internal pressures. His consistency of character guarantees our restoration, freedom, and protection.

There is no leadership vacuum in the world. There is a King and his name is Jesus. He is a good King, and he is in a class of his own. See him clearly and it will do something to you. Listen in as Peter unpacks this Psalm as a context setter for 2025.

We're often (and rightly) told that God created us to be in relationship with him. But in the beginning God also created Eve because it was not good for Adam to be alone. Therefore, we're created to be in relationship with God and others. This is seen all through the Biblical story and emphasised by Jesus. We're not meant to do life on our own. We are created for community.

Christmas is a time filled with family, gifts, and food. However, amidst the chaos of all the events, it is easy to forget the significance of Christmas. It is the day that God took on flesh and came to dwell with his people, all to make a way for right relationship to be restored.

In the beginning God walked with Adam and Eve in the garden. He created them for uninterrupted, intimate relationship with him. He was more committed to it than they were. So, when humanity fell God went about restoring all things so that he might dwell with his people again, forever.

Ruth’s story during the time of the judges brings hope in darkness. What starts off as tragedy moves through drama and romance and ends with joy. But Ruth’s story is bigger than just her. If you belong to Jesus then you have a personal protector, one who is committed to the preservation of your soul in a world often caustic to it. While God’s protection of his people has been a constant feature from of old, it loomed large in the person of Christ and his prayer for his disciples.
