What you expect to happen at church on Sunday is connected to what you believe about God - and there is not one person on earth who has a high enough view of God.

How do you fix a human? There are heaps of options, but almost all of them fail to do the job we hope they will. The human problem is a spiritual problem, that is why human systems help us but don’t fix us. We need God to save us.

In a fallen world, brutal things happen. People get hurt. In this talk Peter works through the question: How can you come to terms with things that are long and hard and don’t go away?

Whilst science is a helpful way to arrive at truth, it is not the only way. Revelation, once called the queen of the sciences, is a much better starting point when asking the question “How do I know what is true?”

There are so many gods and so many religions … how do we know who or what is the real deal? Does God even exist? Peter addresses these questions in the first of the Project’s culture series: Who is God?

Most spiritual warfare is not extraordinary – it is day by day repentance, faith, and relationship with Jesus. We need the correct attire (the gospel) and the correct attitude (alertness in prayer) if we are to be on the offensive with Jesus.

Work existed before sin entered the world and sin makes work harder than it needs to be. Paul helps by pointing to the reality that the ultimate purpose of our work is not to put food on the table, or to please our boss but to please God. It is God’s will that our work would be done for him and under his authority.

God addresses children in Ephesians 6 because they are integral members of His family. Children need to obey their parents and parents need to use their power and authority to bring them up in the Lord.

Marriage is a living, walking, breathing reflection of Jesus’ relationship with the church. They are relationships where two become one.

Nobody is better at loving than God himself … God calls upon husbands to imitate His love. This is a high calling achieved only through a personal knowledge of God’s love and a willingness to die to oneself just as Christ did.

God made men, women and marriage. He designed marriage to be led and prospered by the servant-hearted, self-sacrificial leadership of the husband in tandem with the supportive, willing submission of the wife to his leadership. In marriage we do not talk about the rights of two individuals but the health of two who have become one.

Alcohol has never made anyone wiser but it has made many people dumber. God's heart for you is that you would steadily grow in wisdom.

Jesus changes people from darkness to light. He is the most luminous entity that exists and his light is contagious.

We live in a world that has twisted sex and sexuality. Retaining normal sexuality is impossible without God's help.

What is normal sex? Peter explores this in today's message.

If you are a Christian you are a beloved child of God. It is good and right that God's children grow more and more into the likeness of their Father because there is no greater good than Him.

Forgiveness is always free but it is never cheap because it always involves the offended person swallowing the evil that was done to them.

God desires to be deeply personal with us. He came so close to humanity in the person of Christ and has moved even closer through the Holy Spirit that he has given to us. He has chosen to be so close that he is personally affected by what we say and do.

Words are powerful. They are not neutral. The tongue has the power of life and death. Truly human people not only avoid words that corrupt and kill, they actively speak words that build up, fit the moment and minister grace.

Sin makes people think crazy things ... when Jesus speaks to people it makes them new.

There are many pressures that threaten to mess with the church - it can only stand strong when those within it consistently speak the truth to one another in love.

The work of ministry is not reserved for the leaders of the church - on the contrary it is the leaders of the church that are called by God to equip the saints so that they can minister to other members of the church.

On the cross Jesus turned what appeared to be a defeat into a spectacular victory. The good news is that He is a generous victor - a victor who gives gifts to leaders within His family so that each member of His family will be healthy.

Unity is both precious and fragile. It must be guarded by humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another in love.

Theology (the study of God) that does not lead to doxology (the worship of God) is bad theology. Peter shares about the mysterious blessing of being small and centering on a big God.
