During uncertain times, we all have a choice. Do we react or respond?

Prayer is important and it changes things, especially us.

The outside world seems to distract and crash in on us. Right now we have the time to spend time with Jesus and cultivate an intimacy with the Holy Spirit that leads to an inner world that is greater than our outer world.

When life gets hard and squeezes us, our real issues and character tends to show. Our first reaction is to fight, to flight, or to freeze. Is there another option in the Lord?

Jesus invites us to “abide.” But what does abide even mean? Are there requirements to the invitation? How does one abide? Join us as begin a new series to “Abide” as we walk through John 15:1-17 over the next several weeks.

We're not just running away from all the craziness in our lives, we're running TO real, holy rest that is from the Lord.

Can greed ever be a good thing? What if our greed is FOR God? In Luke 8, we see a woman who got greedy for Jesus and pushed past her fears just to touch him. It is the picture of real Repentance.

The pace we live at is difficult to navigate, even for the most organized of us. We live in a state of hurry, caught up in the craziness of life. But what if Jesus was inviting us to explore a different way? What if we really could come to Him and find rest for our souls?

Sometimes our good intentions can actually be road blocks to where it is we want to go. How do we know what is standing in our way of who it is we want to become?

God has designed all of us with a purpose and a mission - to live and demonstrate the heart of God and His Kingdom to our world. But for every mission in our lives, there is a shadow mission that threatens to derail us from our real purpose. Join us as we talk about how to identify and "beware the shadow missions" in our lives!

Jesus doesn’t need FANS. He desires for us to be FOLLOWERS who experience their life purpose by stepping away from comfort and into mission.

As we step into the new year, one resolution we need as followers of Jesus is to learn to trust God’s direction - His voice and His plan for our lives - as our first thing. So many other things take care of themselves when we get this order right. When we know His heart and His intentions for us, trusting God first becomes a natural result.

Life often feels like we are losing 28-3, which makes it difficult to see what God is doing around us. BUT if we live in the secure knowledge that God is doing big things in our lives, then we get to experience God’s good works all around us.

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, because they saw something different about how he communicated with his Heavenly Father. When we stand and pray in our position as sons and daughters of the King, prayer becomes about intimacy with the Father and not our demands. We can go to God with shameless audacity, because we are confident in our relationship with Him despite His answer.

The Gospel means God is always saying to the dead parts of our lives “come alive!”

There’s a difference between being thankful and living in thankfulness. This Thanksgiving season, let’s put action to being thankful by giving our lives away. 11.24.2019

The scriptures call us to be peacemakers - that as far as it depends on us, we bring peace to our neighborhoods. What does this look like in real life?

To be the neighbor Jesus invites us to be we must answer these questions: Do you know Jesus sees you? Do you believe Jesus calls you? Will you leave everything and do anything to follow Jesus?

We were made to be an influence on the world around us - to be a blessing, as the Scriptures say. But the art of influence means what has an influence ON US will be the influence that comes OUT OF US. In other words: influence in = influence out. So what's your influence?

The invitation to follow Jesus is an invitation to move from fearfully clinging to our anxieties and insecurities, to fearlessly playing in the world around us. This week we wrapped up our series on Ephesians by asking what it looks like to let Jesus move us out of our fears and into a more fearless life.

Where are you living your life?

It is hard to get outside of our own experience, but when you are following Jesus there is a reality that is much greater than what you are currently experiencing.

Scripture tells us to love our spouses and our family. But what does that look like? We can only know how to truly love by following God’s example.

We’ve been called to imitate our Father, to live wisely, and to make the most of every opportunity.

We are often afraid to talk about sin for fear we’ll focus on it too much and miss out on mission. But ignoring the impact of sin in our lives prevents us from fully experiencing the inheritance God has for us.
