Yesterday was the anniversary of Custer's defeat at Little Big Horn. But what came after? Beyonce wore a Buffalo Soldier shirt in Paris. What's the message? And what is THAT history. Mamdani defeated Cuomo in the NYC mayoral primary so recent history factors in but how far back is too far back? 

I am all for creating a holiday for Black people but celebrating a fuzzy end to US slavery seems a bit awkward to me. Lets do some history.

Most Americans don't know what the Tulsa Massacre was or what the Osage Murders were. They don't know about residential schools or the Dakota 38.

US citizenship was NOT granted. It was imposed! Well, some of us reject this imposition. So Kathy Hochul wasn't apologizing for the State's mascot ban. Oh no. She did the ole, "It wasn't me!" duck on this one. A just pointed at the Education Department. "It was THEM!"

The wrestling lady is going out to fight for Massapequa's Native mascot! And so are the folks from Shinnecock and Poospatuck but to oppose her!

I know it's not guilt but more likely arrogance that allows these guys to admit the BS they are promoting. Ironically, it's the justices on the right who are lifting their skirts.
