"The Prince of Peace does not stay far away, He comes close" This week, Pastor Jeremy wraps up our Christmas series. In a world full of "what if's", we can find our hope in the truth that Jesus, the Prince of Peace, will sustain us. 

One of the names given in the prophecy about Jesus in Isaiah 9:6-7 is "Everlasting Father". Another way of interpreting that is "Everlasting Author/Source". This week, Pastor Jeremy talks about how we can find hope in Jesus because He is the source and light that the darkness can never extinguish. He wants to shine His light in our hearts and on our paths! 

"True hope doesn't deliver us around, but delivers us through" How do we find hope in painful circumstances? This week, Pastor Matt talks about how we can find hope in our pain because our God is a healer, He is with us, and He experienced the greatest pain of all so that we wouldn't have to. 

This week, we continued our Christmas series as Pastor Jeremy talks about Jesus being a "Mighty God". It is easy for us to put our hope in what we can see, but we have a mighty God who is faithful to his promises and wants us to place our hope in Him. 

This week, Pastor Matt continues our Christmas series by looking at another name that Jesus is given, "Mighty God". We can have hope when it doesn't make sense because we serve a Mighty God who prepares and prunes us for what He has in store! 

This week, our Student Pastor, Gabe Pecoraro, kicks off our Christmas series, "A Weary World Rejoices". We have a Wonderful Counselor who orders all things, uses people, and has given us an Advocate. Check out this week's sermon to hear how we can find hope in Christ as our wonderful counselor.

When we live a life full of gratitude and knowledge that all we have belongs to God anyway, it results in a life full of generosity.  Grateful hearts are generous!

One of the most important spiritual disciplines we can have is spending time in God's Word. This week, Pastor Matt continues our series, "Rhythms", as we talk about the importance of the Word in our daily lives. Our foundation determines the quality of our life and we know that the best foundation is the Word of God! 

This week, Pastor Jeremy continued our series, "Rhythms". We are often in such a big hurry in our lives that we fail to remember that God is our shepherd who wants to lead us. When we allow Him to be our shepherd, we begin to trust that He is enough! 

This week, we had our friend, Pastor Steve Keyes, with us to kick off our series, "Rhythms". Pastor Steve walks us through the story of Elijah and how God calls him to rest, and through that rest, Elijah is able to hear God and revive his purpose. 

This week, we had our SVL Teaching Pastor, Jason Thompson, with us to kick off our new series, "Rhythms". We often ignore the 4th commandment to observe a sabbath and rest. Jason talks about why this commandment is   still relevant and important today! 

This week, Pastor Jeremy wraps up our Disconnected series with a powerful message about trusting God in all circumstances. What we worry about most reveals where we trust God the least and we know that we can trust Him in all things! 

This week, Pastor Matt wraps up our Disconnected series with a convicting yet practical message about setting boundaries with the technology in our life and filling our day with life-giving things. 

"God doesn't want you to pursue happiness, He wants you to pursue Him!" In a world full of constant ways to be entertained and a priority on self we are called to purse Jesus more than anything else, including our own happiness. God cares about us being happy, just not as much as He cares about us being whole! 

This week, Pastor Matt continued our series, "Disconnected", as we looked at the difference between our strongest desires and our deepest desires and the pitfalls we can fall into if we prioritize the wrong ones. 

This week, Pastor Jason Thompson gives us a different perspective on our series about being disconnected from technology and distractions. We can't just retreat; we must be proactive to connect to Christ. In order to do that, we have to share the truth with other people, even when it isn't popular.  This week, we learned about how we can share truth in love.
