As moms, we can be hard on ourselves. Psalm 103 shows us how to stop the cycle of shame by fixing our attention and worship on God. 

Psalm 65 comforts our hearts with the truth that God hears everything we bring to him, and he answers us with his compassionate presence.

Psalm 34 leads us to stop, even in the midst of ongoing uncertainty and challenges, to see daily grace. It shows us how to find peace by praising God for today’s mercies, despite what tomorrow might bring.

Psalm 91 encourages us to face our battles from within the security of God’s arms. It is God’s love and protection that enables us to walk in his victory. 

We need constant reminding of who God is to us. Psalm 16 guides us in preaching God’s character and power to our hearts so that we might find solid ground to stand on.

Our spiritual growth is not a burden laid on our own shoulders but an assured gift in Christ; yet, we do not remain inactive. We are given the call: abide. Spiritual fruit abounds when we stay close and connected to Jesus. 

Jesus secured our eternal home in the Father’s presence with his death and resurrection. In whatever we face, we can press forward faithfully because of the hope we have in Christ! The hope of home strengthens us for the journey ahead. 

We can tend to view suffering as proof of God’s apathy or even unkindness. Jesus, however, shows us that hardships are often the very thing that will draw us deeper into his life and show us more of his glory.

What are we tempted to entrust our hearts with besides Jesus? Where else might we be looking to find security, satisfaction or life? Jesus alone is worthy of the entrustment of our hearts. He alone is the Good Shepherd, who loves us best. 

Jesus enables us to choose him over our sin by giving us eyes to see that only he can provide what we’re seeking! The light of the world, Jesus frees us from our sin by enlightening us to behold him and his love. 

In Christ, we have nothing left to gain: our sins have been removed and his perfect life has been credited to us. Because all the devotion and love of the Father are already unconditionally ours, we can rest, completely satisfied. 

Jesus invites us to face our fear, anxiety, and emptiness and bring them to him. He’s come to exchange the things of darkness for the things of light, the things of death for the things of life. 

Revelation’s description of the New Creation motivates us to live fruitful lives in light of what’s to come! As we explore our destiny of reigning with God, we find our present work infused with dignity and purpose. 

Revelation’s description of the New Creation motivates us to live fruitful lives in light of what’s to come! As we explore the security we possess beyond this life, we are emboldened to more willingly accept present pain and sacrifice for the sake of others.

We move through our suffering by accepting it, trusting that it is God's will. In this place of surrender, we are met with the presence and companionship of Christ with us in our trials.

Seasons of suffering are not a waste but rather an opportunity to let Christ's power shine through us, bearing witness to his strength.

Instead of becoming self-consumed in our suffering, we can open our eyes to the realtionships in our life and love these people through Christ's power within us.

In seasons of suffering, we can break free from anxiety holding us back and move forward with prupose by resting in the care and control of God.

We don’t have to be told that something is broken within us; we feel it.
