Relishing The Gospel

According to Jesus, the best way to exit this life is to die in the Lord and rest from our labors. Are you a believer?

Are you feeling persecuted today? Do you find yourself wanting to hide instead of standing up for your beliefs? It's true that the world may mock and persecute us because of our faith, but Jesus reminds us to be glad because there is a reward waiting for us.

In times of grief, we see that God has left us alone. We think of Him as an enemy because of the pain we’re going through. But He is more involved than we think. Pain is a reality but not more significant than the reality of God’s Love and mercies.

What is the source of your current conflict? How are you addressing it? Jesus calls upon the men and women of the kingdom to strive for reconciliation. Why? Because he has accomplished the greatest work of peacemaking on our behalf.

What does Christ expect from the Kingdom of man/ woman? That they express mercy to the less fortunate and suffering because they have equally received mercy from the Lord. Those who lay it upon themselves the burdens of others and refresh them shall themselves be refreshed.

What is the longing that lies deep within you? What do you crave for the most? Is it in line with the characteristics of a man or woman of God, as described in the Beatitudes? Those who yearn for righteousness and are thirsty for spiritual nourishment can be assured of satisfaction and fulfillment as God is faithful to His promises.

God calls the kingdom citizen to be meek. An attitude of humility is key if they will inherit the kingdom. Are you meek? Are you pursuing that attitude?

The Kingdom citizen is called to mourn about their sinfulness. We need to realize that without Christ, we are powerless before sin, we have an insatiable enjoyment of sin, and there’s a heavy and eternal penalty due to sin. But those who mourn for their sin have assured comfort from Christ.

What did Jesus say would and should characterize those who will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven? He gave us beatitudes (beautiful attitudes) that we all must pursue if we find our hearts safely in the hands of the Father. What does it mean to be truly blessed/ happy? The sermon on the mount opens the deeper meanings for us.

Can you explain the significance of Christ's words on the cross - "It is Finished!"? Believers must understand that Christ completed everything for us, allowing us to partake in everything with Him. We can now experience His fullness in our lives by finishing it all. We can now experience His fullness in our lives.

What do manhood and womanhood entail? Rather than conforming to cultural definitions and assumptions, God invites us to embrace His unchanging design for these concepts, which He created for His glory.

Jesus prayed to the Father often, leaving us the honours to follow suit. How should we approach the moment of prayer as we seek the Father’s will and heart? Jesus guides us to make our prayer time meaningful and God-glorifying.

The deepest longing of any true believer is to see the name of the Father glorified in their lives. Jesus prayed for the Father’s name to be glorified. How did the Father accomplish that? What does it mean for us? Let’s explore the heart of Christ in this prayer.

What’s the most significant request you’ve ever presented to Lord? What’s the most encouraging thing you’ve heard from someone? The thief on the cross significantly requested, “Jesus, remember me.” Christ said the most encouraging words on the cross, “Father, forgive them… Today you’ll be with me in paradise.”

The prayers of someone usually express their heart. Jesus was a man of prayer, and even at the point of death, we can tell of his heart for humanity- their salvation from God’s wrath and reception of God’s grace.

A famous prayer of Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane. He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” This was a prayer of surrender and submission to the will of the Father. What do we learn about Jesus, and what can we learn about his example of faith in this prayer?

Many people ignore what they’ve heard about the gospel, therefore drifting into other things. Scripture calls us to be aware lest we drift from these truths. People never crumble in a day. It takes several drifts to find ourselves in a wreck! Are you on course, or are you drifting?

God created sex as a good gift for married couples. Due to sin, the world has corrupted this good gift and come up with counterfeits- distortions that end in shame, guilt and death.

God created us in His image so that we- in our sexuality- bring Him glory and honour as we handle each other in our relationships.
