God does what God is, and what God is is His nature. God's nature is to give what He is, which is why He created us to be receivers.

How well do you know your self-life? How can you overcome unless you know your enemy's strategies and techniques? Overcoming starts with not taking your flesh personally, but recognizing it instead as an extension of the gift God gave you to live as an individual here on this earth. At first it served a purpose, to get your needs met, now it keeps you from becoming whole. 

Those parts of our temperament that are the most successful in getting our needs met will be the foundation for our flesh patterns. Let's identify the goals of the flesh and the symptoms of living out of our flesh as first steps in overcoming our flesh.

The closer we come to living out of our spirit, as a spirit being, instead of out of our soul (temperament) and/or body, the more we gain Rest as a state of existence. It is in this state that we are at greatest activity, overcoming submission, oppression, resistance, in ourselves and our environment, Ruling and Reigning out of Confidence and Authority. 

You have the Authority, You have the Knowledge, what You lack is the Experience, which will yield confidence, peace and effectiveness.
