Episode 277: Just Hit Record 02.03.2019 1:01:56
Three guys get together and talk about whatever comes to mind. Sounds like the formula for every episode of the Regular Joes Podcast, right? Believe it or not there is usually some sort of plan. In this ep there is no plan, no theme, not even any segments. We just turn the mics and record. Did it work? That's really up to you to decide. Warning: there may be spoilers about two-year-old episodes of...
Episode 276: The Umbrella Patrol 23.02.2019 1:20:06
So here's the pitch, eccentric rich dude searches the world for super powered misfits then brings them back to his mansion to train as a superhero team. Sounds like the X-Men, right? Wrong. This week two very similar themed comic-based shows debuted. Doom Patrol on DC's streaming service and Umbrella Academy on Netflix. To help compare and contrast these shows the Regular Joes bring in Derryl DePr...

Episode 274: Nom, Nom, Nom 08.02.2019 1:23:36
Each year we painstakingly evaluate, consider, advise, consent, and ultimately decide who and what should be on the annual Joe-cademy Awards listener Ballot. This time around, when it came time to nominate the actors, creators, and films on this year's ballot, we tried something different. For the first time ever, we pull back the curtain, open the (thankfully metaphoric) kimono, and let you see (...
Episode 273: Nerd Nirvana 01.02.2019 1:10:06
We live in the age of "Nerd Nirvana." There is more geek content than people can consume. Or at least people who ever leave their mom's basement. There is a DC channel (2 if you count the CW), a Star Trek channel and soon a Marvel/Star Wars Channel. Most every big-name superhero has appeared on the big screen. One is even up for an Academy Award. Nearly every Sci Fi property worth mentioning is un...
Episode 272: Re-Discovery 25.01.2019 1:00:06
Discovery is back. So yeah, we talk a lot about that. Not everyone loved the first season, and the Joes get into the ways season 2 dials into what some may have thought was missing. Tod it seems has a man crush on the new Capt. Pike (Anson Mount), but this is made less awkward by Dave once again extolling the many virtues of Tom Cruise. We add a new segment, my Favorite Things where the Joes, and...

You know how some people are just "impossible to buy for"? Well, the Regular Joe's are worse. Pretty much every day UPS unloads boxes from Amazon or Fanboy Collectibles on their doorsteps. As such, we present the 2018 edit...

Episode 260: Hard Hitting Heroes 26.10.2018 1:16:31
In a dark alley a stick wielding masked vigilante brutally dispatches a handful of violent criminals. This could be a scene from Daredevil, but it's not (we will talk about that later.) In a split decision we are intrigued. Despite...
