New Life in Christ.

Godliness is the aim of the Christian life. The problem is we always fall short when we strive for godliness by our own strength and power. The only way to live a godly life is by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit who God promises to give to those who ask Him.

The Angel announced the birth of Christ with good news of great joy! What is the good news of Christmas in the birth the Savior?

The story of Christmas is not just a baby in a manger, the star Bethlehem, and wise men. The story of Christmas is actually the good news of the Gospel itself. That Jesus was born a man to save us from our sins to give us the greatest gift of all... justification by faith.

Are Christians required to give financially to their church? Why? How much? Isn't that just turning the Church corporate? Most Christians have an instant reaction when a church talks about money, but that's because most Christians have not been discipled in how their giving ties into their worship and God's generous gift to us in Jesus Christ.

How can you grow in your love and worship of God? Who God is, what God has done, and what God promises to do fuels a greater love and worship of God and quenches the thirst of our dry and thirsty souls.

Christians are called to give thanks in all circumstances. True worship is a response to who God is and what God's done in Christ with a glad and thankful heart.

As God's Servant to punish the Evil and honor the Good, what do Christians owe the Civil Magistrate? What are the duties of Christian Citizenship? What does it mean to submit to the governing authorities in Romans 13 and is taxation theft or something else?

Most of us look at the government as a necessary evil but God ordained the Civil Magistrate to be a blessing for your good. How is can the Magistrate be a blessing under God and what has God given the Civil Magistrate to do in punishing evil and honoring the good?

Wisdom For a Blessed Life (Proverbs 2:6-15)

Proverbs 2:1-5.

When you talk about returning to the Christian principles that built our nation, several objections will start to come up. "Jesus said 'My Kingdom is not of this world.'" "We're not a Theocracy/We are not Old Covenant Israel." And "What about the Freedom of Religion and the Separation of Church and State?" How do Christians answer these and uphold a Christian Vision of Government?

With all the talk about Christian Nationalism, what does the Bible actually say about what God calls the Civil Magistrate to be and do? What is their standard of justice and how should they rule? According to their own wisdom or God's Word?

Christ's Kingdom is a Righteous, Blessed, Universal, Redemptive and Eternal reign and as King He is our Shepherd, Champion, Temple, and King of Perfect Peace.

Theology of Creation teaches us the Theology of Life. The heavens declare the glory of God and teach us that God is glorious and worthy of all of our life, love, worship and obedience.

In a world of darkness and spiritual war against principalities and powers, Christians should reclaim the imprecatory Psalms. We should pray that God would thwart the wicked and deliver the righteous that the world would know God's judgment and glory.

How do we trust that God is good and walk in faith in the midst of suffering and the Valley of the Shadow of death? When Christians suffer we can feel like God is far off and uncaring about our pain. But God is ever near us and sovereign over all things including our suffering. 

How do the Psalms long for and anticipate Jesus? A common theme of then Psalms looks to the promises of the Davidic Covenant and asks, "Where is the King?" How does Christ fulfill all the promises of the Davidic Covenant as the True Son of David who rules over all to the good, blessing, and salvation of His people?

Proverbs 1:20-33.

How do you worship in the Lord's Supper? What does it practically to take the Lord's Supper for the most spiritual benefit? To feast at the Table, believers need to Remember Christ, Repent of their sin, and Renew their commitment to follow Him.

Proverbs 1:8-19.

Repentance is necessary to take the Lord's Supper in a worthy manner. It's impossible for us to celebrate all that the Supper is while holding onto the very same sins that nailed Christ to the cross in the first place. There must be a true and godly repentance in order to enjoy the sweetness of Christ's grace.

1 Corinthians 10:14-22 The Lord's Supper is more than just a memorial meal that remembers Christ's death. It is a means of grace that nourishes and grows our faith. But what does that mean and what does it actually look like? Does this turn the Lord's Supper into a never ending search for some spiritual experience? How does it nourish and grow our faith?

Exodus 1-15 How does the Passover help us celebrate the Lord's Supper? The story of the Exodus is the story of the Gospel. In redeeming His people from Egypt God showed us what His true redemption would look like in Jesus Christ who is the True Passover Lamb of the True Passover.
