Reflecting God

As we step out in faith, as we follow where God leads, we will find that God is faithful in ways we never expected.

Our story is great, not because we are great or because of the events surrounding the story, but because God is great.

Take time to reflect on your past and how the grace of God has redeemed it.

God calls us to faithfulness, no matter the circumstances. How are you living out your faithfulness today?

As I look back over the years, I’m thankful I was obedient because He was, and is, so faithful to me. I praise Him today!

There are times when we must heed the words of the Spirit even when others don’t understand.

What is your goal, your finish line, your destination? I hope it is to tell people along the way about Jesus.

Warren Wiersbe wrote, “We cannot build the church unless God is building our lives daily”( The Bible Exposition Commentary ).

We may not always get to choose our path, but we can always tell people about our hope of glory along the way.

The Greek word for repent is metamoreo . More than just asking for forgiveness, it means to turn completely around and change direction.

You are not where you are by accident! God may be providing divine appointments because the people around you need Jesus.

The priceless and powerful gift of the Holy Spirit cannot be purchased with cash or credit, but everyone can receive this treasure by yielding their will to God.

Hope is rarely based upon what we hold in our hands, rather, hope is deeply rooted in an unquenchable belief that God will keep His promises.

The Old Testament word for loving-kindness is hesed . Hesed love is a Hebrew term that has two pillars. Pillar one: God’s hesed love includes justice, mercy, and compassion. Pillar two: Hesed love includes the wrath of God.

We are never encouraged in scripture to seek “the spectacular,” instead we are called to worship God.

Discipleship is investing our lives in others in order that the powerful expressions of the Holy Spirit may establish a new and exciting way for someone.

You may find difficulty by following Christ: others may insult you, forsake you, or wound you, but you can be certain that you are not alone.

1 Thessalonians paints a beautiful picture of what that family of God can look like.

Learning to hold our tongue is a measure of maturity. In Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus he connects speaking the truth in love with spiritual maturity.

It would be safe to say that none of us like being called out about our sin. We squirm, justify, or even hide to try to escape the reprimand.

Following Jesus isn’t meant to be done alone, but together... Discipleship is meant to be done in community, who is your community?

We can face uncertainty, we can face difficulty, not because of a promise that everything will be okay in that moment, but because we can trust that even if they are not, God is with us. 

Paul did great things throughout the world, yet he still became discouraged when people wouldn’t listen. It is easy for us to feel the same way.

He has made a beautiful mosaic with the people of the world.

Acts 17 tells us that the Berean people were open-minded and willing to listen to Paul and Silas’ teaching, but they did not just blindly accept everything they heard. They checked it against the scriptures every day.
