Acts 8:1-26   Sermon Notes: The Spirit will only lead us in way start are consistent with what he has already spoken through the Word of God. He will not contradict, add to, or take away from the Bible.

Acts 8:1-25   Sermon Notes: I. The gospel is inclusive because it is freely offered to all people. II. The gospel also excludes any other allegiances. III. The gospel excludes the unrepentant.

Acts 7:17-60   Sermon Notes: I. Rebellion leads to judgement (7:17-43) II. Rebellion can look like religious obedience (7:44-50) III. Humble submission is better than repeated rebellion (7:51-53) IV. Jesus vindicates his people.

1 Thessalonians 3:1-5

Acts 6:8-7:16   Sermon Notes: I. When we are faithful, God is faithful. II. God’s faithfulness should lead us to faithfulness. III. When we are unfaithful, God is faithful.

Acts 6:1-7   Sermon Notes: I. The conflict (6:1) II. The solution (6:2-6) Prioritize prayer and the Word. Prioritize Christlike character. Prioritize mutual trust. III. The result (6:7)

Acts 5:12-42   Sermon Notes: I. A faithful witness may or may not lead to conversion. II. A faithful witness is motivated by God’s mercy. III. A faithful witness rejoices in suffering for the name of Jesus.  

Acts 4:32-5:11   Sermon Notes: I. Christian maturity is marked by love for God’s people. II. Individual sin threatens corporate unity and witness. III. The judgement of God should fill us with fear.

Acts 4:23-31   Sermon Notes: I. We approach God in humble submission. II. Our prayers should demonstrate our trust in God. Trust in God’s Word. Trust in God’s plan. Trust in God’s provision. Big Idea: The church carries out its mission through prayerful dependance on God. 

Acts 3:1-26   Sermon Notes: I. Jesus offers new life to all people. II. We embrace the life Jesus offers by faith in him. III. Denying Jesus brings destruction.  

Acts 2:42-47   Sermon Notes: Big Idea: Faith in Jesus produces devotion to God and true fellowship with one another.  I. Biblical fellowship requires a willingness to sacrifice for one another. II. Biblical fellowship involved investing in each other’s lives. III. Biblical fellowship strengthens our witness.

Acts 2:14-41   Sermon Notes: Explanation: The Spirit has come so the church can be a witness in the last days. Proclamation: Jesus is the resurrected Messiah and exalted Lord. Application: Repent and call on the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 2:1-13   Sermon Notes: I. The presence of God, through the Holy Spirit, now resides in his people. II. The Holy Spirit’s work in us is the sign of his presence. Big Idea: Show the world that the Holy Spirit is presence among us.

Acts 1:1-11   Sermon Notes: I. Jesus’ teaching and ministry shapes the church’s mission. II. Jesus empowers his church to complete its mission. Why we don’t carry out the mission? We don’t want to. We are distracted. Big Idea: Jesus determines the mission of the church and empowers us to follow his direction.
