Rebranding Safety
A Health and Safety Podcast, boring and complicated right? Nah. It’s the only source of H&S guidance that isn’t boring, or over the top, it’s my personal battle against Health and Safety gone mad. I have been described as a hip young gunslinger of a host and a guy that knows his onions . The podcast has been described as motivating, entertaining, hip and cool, rough and ready, refreshing, funny, interesting, opinionated. It’s not your normal podcast it’s not just full of interviews, yes we have interviews in the expert explains series, but we aim to provide actual content here!

HOP in reality with Teresa Swinton 08.02.2021 1:41:26
The penultimate interview of our Safety 1 and Safety 2 mini-series, I had a great emergent chat with Teresa Swinton who is frankly a legend. Teresa runs a very successful business called Paradigm Human performance she is a HOP expert, even though she is too humble to agree with that! we talk about loads of stuff but we had a good chat about the reality of HOP and how they do what they do at Paradi...

A Philosophical view ot be specific and we got talking about Safety 1 and Safety 2 and he had some very valid and strong opinions, and that’s perfect for rebranding safety. With Degrees in psychology and Philosophy, and a background in the fire ser...

Safety 1 and Safety 2 With Adam Johns 21.12.2020 1:29:45
Today's guest has a really interesting journey into safety, from working data for the Civil aviation authority to implementing Safety 2 in Hong Kong’s flag caring airline. I talk about Safety 2, safety differently so much but we rarely talk to people that have implemented in on the coal face for as part of what will hopefully a regular occurrence of people on the coalface that have actually seen t...

Today's guest has an extensive background in Health and Safety and is now partway through the journey with Maersk implementing the Safety 2 mindset in their operations. I listened to him speak at the HSE digital congress and it left most of the listeners speechless, his passion, the delivery, content of the presentation, all flawless. But the content and message itself, about their journey, the ho...

its time to reflect on last weeks chat with Dominic Cooper.
How Different is Safety Differently 09.11.2020 2:03:55
Today I am very excited about our guest. Along with our previous guest Tim Marsh, Today's guest is one of the original gangsters of behaviour-based safety. He has a big social media presence and uses it to communicate his passionate, and at times controversial message in the safety 1 vs safety 2 debate.

In this episode, I reflect on my chat in last weeks episode with Kelvin Genn.
Safety 1 and Safety 2 with Kelvin Genn 19.10.2020 1:25:25
Today's guest was one of the groups of people at the birth of Safety differently working with Sydney Dekker but the thing that I like about this is that work he does at the business he is Managing Director at, the Art of Work, they do the do. It's not about talking about it is about doing it. I wanted to get as many examples of how we implement Safety differently Safety 2 etc into our workplaces a...
