This "very special episode begins a little late as Cody comes from yoga. He tries a few different virtual backgrounds and explains that he hasn't eaten dinner so he'll be eating as the show goes on. Cody's silence and attempts to cover his face give Brian a chance to rage against a local news reporter who repeatedly mispronounced a world leader's name and how exasperated he is with lazy language....

Tis the season for exterior illumination and all types of holiday decorating. Brian and Cody compare notes on all things lights and Christmas trees. Brian surprises Cody with his tree storage. Cody reveals his wife's penchant for dark trees. The guys talk about what they want for Christmas which leads Cody to proclaim that "any type of virtual reality girl is fine".

It's the most wonderful time of the beer year...Barrel Aged Stout season! The tradition continues as the guys welcome Mike Smith-Senior Brand Manager (Bourbon County Stout) and brewers Paul Cade and Jason Krasowski from Goose Island to talk about and sample some of this year's Bourbon County Stout variants. 

The episode begins with some sad news from Cody and Brian trying to explain his aversion to offering sympathy. Cody recounts his visit to New Orleans. Brian went Barrel Aged beer crazy at a festival.

The boys are in rare form. Cody starts the episode having more studio challenges. There's a new segment on the show called "What Cody Heard". Brian calls out Cody for an indefensible act. Brian is already tired of the holidays which leads to a return of "Socially Conscious Cody" and one of his trademark rants. The guys shared some beers and Brian once again enjoyed the company of Cody's son...not...

Brian and Cody are joined by friend and longtime co-worker/WGN Radio Newsman Roger Badesch to share memories and mockery on the occasion of Roger's retirement. The guys also talk about Cody's son, Halloween and as always "a whole lot more".

Brian is all by himself and after explaining why and expressing discomfort at being alone, launches into stories of his return to his former station, Halloween  decorating, his worst Halloween and plugs some upcoming projects. 

After a two week hiatus, the guys are back. The episode starts with an explanation, then devolves into Cody going into graphic detail about his dental misadventures. Cody's baby isn't going to be one of the beach Boys. Brian is unsettled with the "Big Chair 2.0". is there anyone who  can hold a grudge better or longer than Brian? His new target might find out. Brian and Cody return and jump right in with the story of an old man and a bat. Brian recounts Debbie's surgery and his caregiving skill. Cody saw Guns and Roses and believes Slash may be the greatest musicians ever. The boys both indulged in culture and had wildly different experiences.

Cody is having trouble with his hair and launches into the reason/excuses for his crazy locks. It appears Brian got a haircut, but the truth lies elsewhere. Brian questions his wife's ability to read and explains why his home is under quarantine. Cody went to Milwaukee and all might not has gone as planned. Cody is looking forward to rocking out at Wrigley Field an experience Brian likens to desce...

The guys start out by recounting the 1st birthday party Cody threw for his son. Brian seems able to connect with children on a surprising level. It is agreed that Cody's son is adorable. Brian Asks Cody to explain a recent Tweet and a discussion of people's psychology ensues. Brian shares a hair-raising tale that caused him to make a life altering decision. 

Cody is back and he is still jacked up from a trip to a rasslin' event that featured the return of a legend and free ice cream. Cody explains why he's talking in subdued tones. Brian reveals his age while trying to find shorts and laments that his plans to see Kiss have been sidelined.

Cody is off hosting a "remote nerdfest" so Brian recruits "fan favorite" Roger to join him. The guys spend an inordinate amount of time geeking out over a Marvel exhibition and their shared enjoyment of the MCU. The Roger recounts his long delayed trip to Disney World and upcoming book promotions. Brian invites folks to join him for a beer at a local event.

After a week off, the boys are back! Brian has many stories to tell about his trip to Colorado. The Noonans visit a dispensary together, altitude issues, the Rockies and more. Cody shares his experience at a "hoity-toity" country club and his plans to host an alternative "nerd Convention". The guys turn their gaze toward the situation in Afghanistan. 

Cody is having a lot of issues in his studio as the episode begins.
