Viv and Dave get over their jetlag and settle in their month or so in Brisbane. This involves discovering the cool suburb of West End, a short break at Turtle b each near Bargara at the southern end of the great barrier reef...and Viv's near murderous spell without nicotine.  There are also amazing animals and the ubiquitous deadly wildlife that no trip to Australia can ignore

Viv and Dave have a strange last day in Vancouver seeing the horrors of homelessness and the beauty of Canada. A long plane journey across the Pacific Ocean, lots of time zones, the international dateline, from Canadian Winter to summer on the Sunshine Coast. A week in Vancouver: Viv and Dave visit Vancouver to catch up wuth Cathy and Laurie, stay near Stanley Park and in Mount Pleasant - splendid areas at each end of the City. 

Viv and Dave arrived in White Rock British Columbia (or maybe Surrey) to stay with Viv's sister Sooz and her husband Nelson. Staying for a week they do sightseeing and family gathering and get to the top of Grouse Mountain, overlooking the Greater Vancouver area

This is about our week in Saskatoon in the cold...very cold. This comes in two parts, this first episode is Viv and Dave chatting about the cold, The cultures of the first people and the development of western culture and their American neighbours. It also features us being pulled over by highway cops

Viv and Dave stop off in Toronto, Canada, for a few days. They try sightseeing - in the fog - visit the aquarium and finally get to see the CN Tower, a Great Lake and experience Ontario pub and street life

Viv and Dave stay the New York Borough of Queens, meet Sally and Emil, visit museums and experience the public party that is Halloween in America

Viv and Dave get to stay for a week with Viv's brother Bill McGuinness in Fairfield Connecticut in the run up to Halloween and are more than somewhat astonished at the level of 'celebration' of all things witchy

Viv and Dave Boardman get to Boston New England where everywhere is named after a place in old England. They meet Rhonda and Jose who put them up and tell them about the city... and visit a well known bar

Viv and Dave spend a few days, including their 46th wedding anniversary in Berlin. They visit the Brandenberg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Jewish Museum and the bohemian Kreuzberg area - and make new friends over a few beers in a bar between The Wall and the River Spree

Viv and Dave Boardman spend five days in Bremen, meeting Adam Drakeley, hero of international rescue efforts, discovering the tale of the Town Musicians of Bremen and sampling the delights of the Reeperbahn, a major part of Beatles history

Viv and Dave Boardman spend a few days in Dusseldorf - their first visit to Germany - and find it 'very interesting'. They discuss art, demonstrations, surprising headlines and the seedier part of town

Viv and Dave's Adventures in Retirement continue on to Beauvais and Lille. Staying with a friend Roger Smart and a very basic 'hotel' in lovely Lille
