By the grace of God, I've never felt like I have to clean myself up in order to be with God or to earn His love. Romans 12:1-2 states that we can be made brand new, by having our thoughts renewed by God. Where old thinking doesn't line up with what the Bible says, we can choose to think new thoughts. Christmas can be an anxious and stressful time. We are tempted to believe that if we have all the right presents and all the right people around the tree that we will experience all the peace and love that we long for.
