In the Old Testament God sent prophets to confront the sins of the people and call them to repentance. The problem is that our religion means nothing if it's not motivated by righteousness. In this message we'll look at Revelation chapters 6-11. What we discover is that John will answer the question, "who can stand" when The Day of the Lord comes? And it's simple and beautiful, it's not those who resort to military power, but those who kill with kindness, who look like Jesus and love and serve their enemies, they are the ones who will stand.

In Revelation 4 and 5 John gets a peek at Heaven and what's happening there and once again, what John expects isn't what he finds. There are some familiar descriptions though as John describes the throne room of the Most High God which was conveyed strength and unlimited power to the persecuted followers stuck on earth.

We are destined to fail when we try to live by our own strength. We cannot do good 100% of the time. God knew this and sent His Son so that through Him we might have access to the strength we'd need to live like Jesus.
