The new rules for all real estate agents went into effect August 17, 2024. One change concerns buyer agent commissions. Now, home buyers are responsible to pay their real estate agents. The most common questions our clients ask is, "Why pay for a buyer agent?" and "How do I find the cash to pay for my buyer agent?". We tackle these in this week's podcast.

On August 17, 2024, all realtors are mandated to follow the new guidelines set forth as a result of the commission lawsuit settlement. Here is how things will change for home sellers and buyers.

The housing statistics were released for Northern Virginia and reflects data for he end of July 2024. The numbers show that home prices fell; homes for sale increased; and mortgage interest rates have also gone down.
