What is the proper way to think about doubt as a person trying to grow closer to God? A quick survey of scripture shows two things: empowerment to be honest about the doubts you experience, and a God who pursues us in the midst of our doubts.

"Is Jesus God?" "Christianity seems too complicated." "What if I've been hurt by Christians in the past?" "I tried already, and failed." Our God is not intimidated by doubts and questions like these. As we continue studying the final night of Jesus' life, we see Jesus ramping up the compassion and the clarity for his closest friends...the same way he wants to for you.

For all of human history, people have been wrestling with the big questions of life — questions about death, freedom, isolation and meaning. In dark seasons like the one we face in the era of COVID-19, that wrestling becomes all the more common. How do we find the hope we all long for? By listening the right voice.
