How can we get our family to Heaven? In this episode we will consider things that are killing our communication.  

We are continuing our discussion on what it means to be assertive. There’s a big difference between being assertive and aggressive. The Scriptures plainly teach us that we need to learn how to say yes and no. This episode we will share ways to be assertive and courteous.

It’s difficult to know when to speak up and be assertive. It’s also difficult to know how to do it. And this podcast will discuss ideas, and share stories, to promote healthy communication and conflict resolution.

You get knocked down. You get kicked around. What are you going to do? Do you have a choice? Yes. You can either lay there feeling sorry for yourself, wait on somebody to come pick you up, and cry about it. Or you can pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start again. I chose the latter.

We may know what it takes to be saved, but we often question what it takes to stay saved. Can your fear actually serve as an obstacle for your faith? Does God want you to live with the burden of uneasiness, confusion, and doubt?

In this 30th episode, we deal with what it really means to be positive, practical and authentic in a world full of cookie cutters. What are the benefits of being practical? How can we be positive? Why does God want us to be unique? When e we look at Jesus, what do we see?

Sometimes the season of sadness, anxiety, or depression, may last for longer than expected. If we struggle with our mental health it affects everything, and everyone, around us. What do we need to do to improve our mental health? How can we begin to value ourselves?

We are often convinced that Joy is seasonal and/or varies by location. That is false. Joy the state of mind. Joy is a conscious choice. Joy is a way of living. Joy is not the absence of trial, sorrow, suffering, or various tribulations. Joy a fruit of the spirit! It is plucked, planted, fertilized and nourished. When it tastes root the fruit is a blessing to all.

What do you think I’m on the Fourth of July? Independence is a tremendous blessing. However, freedom is certainly not free. People have sacrificed so that we might enjoy this privilege. The same is true when it comes to our freedom as a Christian. Jesus died to obtain the greatest blessing we’ll ever enjoy. Real freedom. He sought to free all of humanity!

The debate is far from over. The problem is very real. We continue to struggle with racism in our culture. How to Christians respond to this issue? Is it ignored? Is it overlooked? It’s time to open up.

Conflict is inevitable. There is absolutely no way we can avoid it. However, God has given us the holy Scriptures to guide us in every area of life. What do we do when we face a conflict? How can we seek the root of the problem? This podcast is meant to encourage you to look to God for the answers.

The Bible is very clear about what God expects from His children. His desire is for us to surrender fully. We should not follow Him out of obligation. What does it mean to give Him my whole heart?

People can develop tunnel vision. That’s when we lose sight of the things around us. Specifically, we have a loss of peripheral vision. This is a dangerous thing in the church today. We can often focus solely on ourselves, or the church, and forget everything else that’s going on around us. What can we do to correct this problem?

Forgive and forget. It sounds so easy. We want to get forgiveness from God and those were hurt. The toughest obstacle is forgiving ourselves. In this episode, we will see what God does with our sin and how the scriptures prove we have hope. This journey into the Bible will totally be worth your time.

There’s a big difference between building on a solid foundation or one that is weak. Jesus tells a memorable story at the end of the sermon on the mount. It’s about two characters. One wise man and one foolish man. The storms came to the houses of both men. But only one stood firm.
