During a battle against the Rangers within Corinth, Tenaya 7 leaves behind a remote-control hand that tests the RPM Rangers, and lowers the city's shields.

While holding auditions to determine who will be trusted with the DNA-lock for Ranger Operator Green, Ziggy runs into several of his old acquaintances from the crime cartels, to whom he owes money.

Dillon is welcomed into the RPM Rangers ranks, much to Scott’s chagrin, and acquires the abilities of the Black Ranger, whilst Ziggy is released from prison as a condition of Dillon’s cooperation.

Dillon’s unknown ties to Venjix hardware casts him in suspicion. Summer decides to befriend him. Dr. K completes work on the RPM Ranger’s new zords, and Venjix unveils the deadly Tenaya 7.

Casey, convinced that Jarrod can be saved from Dai Shi’s evil influence, follows his heart and confronts his nemesis.

Lilly and Theo receive their Master Stripes, but Casey does not. Feeling like a failure, he goes on a run to think and finds Jarrod attempting to save Camille’s life.

Camille steals a formula that a scientist named Maryl is developing as part of her genetic cloning experiments, then floods the city with a cloned legion of monkeys.

Dai Shi, angered that Whiger’s taking of the Tiger Spirit neither broke or destroyed Casey, punishes him by seizing his own powers. Casey befriends Whiger, and they work together to free the other Rangers and several helpless civilians from Dai Shi’s gigantic rattraps.

Casey is left despondent and lost after his tiger spirit is drained from him. Meanwhile, Dai Shi and Camille gain stronger forms.

The Rangers are captured and forced to participate in a trivia quiz based around their previous adventures.

With The Spirit Rangers proving too formidable, RJ decides that he must risk destroying an important part of his life to ensure everything he holds sacred survives.

RJ develops a new weapon he believes is capable of delaying the advancing Spirit Rangers as they inflict havoc on the city and their own students.
