We welcome new members to the Radio 2000 family. New names you’ll hear on the station are Paul Mnisi, Mapaseka Mokwele, Penny Lebyane and Rachel Makhura. ARTS: The first volume of Introduction to South African Guitar Styles: Five Decades of Ukuvamba is out. The book which is by guitarist and researcher Billy Monama is an exploration of the history of the guitar in Black South African popular music and includes music styles such as marabi, maskanda, African jazz, kwela, mbaqanga and XiTsonga. Billy joins us on the line.
