This is what we mean by sacrifice; that you put your husband or your wife and you put your children and you put your Guru first and you put yourself last. If you're not willing to do that, if you're living for yourself for your own feelings, for your own, hard or difficult doesn’t come into picture.

That the opposite sex is like, fire, and you should consider yourself to be like butter. And if there is too close and intimate mingling, then it is not a question of ‘maybe’, it is a question of a matter of time to you melt. That is the word of Srimad-Bhagavatam, that is the word of God.

We should know that sense gratification is the greatest enemy to an aspiring devotee. We cannot think of Krishna when we are pondering upon the objects of senses. Material sense gratification more than anything else strips us naked of any sense of devotion.

Srila Prabhupada in the Chaitanya-Charitamrita describes that if all the instructions of all the regulative principles the first and most important is to chant sixteen rounds of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra attentively every day.

If we're feeling for the sufferings of others, we understand that no matter what physical or emotional relief we can give a person which we should try to do, the real suffering is due to the ahankara, the real solution is helping to awaken a person's awareness that they're eternally part of Krishna, they're eternal servants of Krishna, they are eternal souls and that's the greatest service.

If we do not practice this carefully, from material contemplation comes lust; when we become angry we lose our intelligence and gradually we progressively fall down from the spiritual path. And when momentarily you find you are inflicted by anger, you have to immediately cry out for Krishna to save you.

Hearing also means inquiring submissively as you're doing now. Right now, you could be sitting on the bench talking about so-and-so but instead you're here asking about how you can become more serious about Krishna conscious.

It comes by praising others who are worthy of praise, devotees, by revealing oneself as being a humble servant of such honorable Vaishnavas and by always chanting the glories of Sri Sri Radha and Krishna.

The essential quality of renunciation is humility to give up the false ego and understand “I am completely dependent on the mercy of the Lord.” Rupa Goswami says “This is one of the cardinal symptoms of real surrender, complete dependence on the Lord. That takes complete humility.

The devoted servants of the lord come to this world to give shelter, and that is the purpose of this Krishna Consciousness movement. Prabhupada said that we are not here to convert, we have come to enlighten people, to live in harmony with the laws of God.

When he looked at that deity, he saw Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu would reveal himself in that deity of Krishna. Govinda would take care of all personal bodily needs of Lord Caitanya and one of the very very special services of Kashishvar Pandit because he had strong body, is when Lord Caitanya would go to Jagannath’s temple, Kashishvar walked in front of him, Govinda was behind Lord Caitanya and Kashishvar Pandit was in front of the lord then, clearing the crowds so that no one would touch Lord Caitanya.

We are a family. Family members, real family members. We have a family spirit. They easily forgive each other. And they are faithful and dedicated to each other, no matter what.

Maya devi has empowered her creation with such sophisticated, such empowered propaganda to convince us that we are this body, and we are the enjoyer. Therefore, the association of devotees is so very, very critical to our spiritual survival, because in that association we remind one another constantly that material enjoyment is not what we are looking for.

Shri Navadvip is considered to be the crest jewel of all holy places. In the age of Kali, other holy places become covered by the influence of material energy. Of course, the holy place is always pristine.

To give to the world the rasas of Vrindavan, only the full-fledged Svayam Bhagavan Shri Krishna can do that. So yes, once in a day of Brahma, Krishna reveals the secrets of Vrindavan to the world.

Sri Navadvipa dham is specially blessed with the presence of the holy river Ganga devi. Ganga devi saw her beloved sister Yamuna facilitating Krishna’s pastimes in Vrindavan with the gopas and gopis.

I would personally descend and make the whole world dance. Kaviraj Goswami says that Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu made a garland with the flowers of the holy name of Krishna and pure love of Krishna, and he came to garland the entire world.

We have come here to beg for this quality so that in the purified state we can assist Srila Prabhupada, the previous acharyas and Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Panchatattva in flooding the world with Harinama sankirtan.

When we come here, we should come as beggars, begging Nityananda Prabhu, and his representatives the spiritual masters and the vaishnavas for their mercy.

Because he was going to take the message of the spirit of Mayapur across the ocean to all continents of the world and on behalf of Lord Chaitanya to make the world dance for the chanting of holy names. hare Kṛṣṇa hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa hare hare/ hare Rāma hare Rāma Rāma Rāma hare hare.

In Vrindavan and other holy places if we commit offenses, we will have to suffer due to those offenses but Lord Chaitanya and Lord Nityananda Prabhu in this holy land of Navadvipa they do not accept any offenses.

Here His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada very clearly explains exactly why the Ganges floods. To show the world that this nectar of love of Godhead should flood the entire planet from Sri Mayapur dham, the birthplace of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

We come to pilgrimage places, because we need grace. You see, you cannot digest food if you have no hunger. This is the principle of Ayurveda. Every time I go to Ayurvedic doctors, and I am sent to them all the time, so many different ones, they always ask, “How is your appetite?” Because this is a basis, digestion is a key to good health, and you cannot digest unless you are hungry.
