Headwall was brilliant winning on the wet yesterday in Sydney for trainer Matthew Smith. Smith says "His large rural property has been the key to getting these horses fit and firing".

Joe Pride will be surprised if his sprint stars Think About It and Private Eye are not in the TAB Everest come October. Pride says "They are both in terrific order following a break".

Battlefield is one of Qld's most progressive horses. Four runs for Barry Lockwood for three wins . Lockwood says his last run was particularly impressive given the time he recorded.

Classy Kiwi mare La Crique won't be seen in Australia this spring. Co-trainer Katrina Alexander says she is about to head home after resting in Qld.

Luke Nolen's tremendous form has guaranteed him the ride on I Wish I Win. Peter Moody says "I've never seen Luke look fitter". Moody also provides a key update on the sprint star.

John O'Shea's training partner Tom Charlton says he did think about branching out on his own last year. Charlton says "John was keen to see him stay which led to the partnership".

Sydney 3yo Theblade was well supported before being withdrawn at the gates last month. Michael Hawkes says they rate the colt highly and are keen to see what he does today.

SA rider Teagan Voorham has no thoughts of relocating to Qld following her feature race success at Rockhampton and Mackay. Voorham believes she became a better rider post a nasty leg injury some seasons ago.

Qld need another grass track says the ATA representative. Cam Partington says maybe it's time for a complete overhaul and rationalisation to ultimately fund a new track.

‘A Horse Named Winx’ will be on the big screen from next month. Writer and narrator Andrew Rule says the documentary materialised on the back of the Winx book. Rule says the documentary/movie is sure to bring out a series of emotions with many.

Brisbane horse Antino won’t be there just to make up the numbers when he tackles a G1 at the end of the month in Melbourne. Tony Gollan says the horse is loaded with talent and the Memsie is a good starting point.
