**Throwback Episode** This is a discussion of various laws, customs, & practical advice on how to get ready for Pesach and the Seder. This was a live presentation by the Phoenix Community Kollel. The presenting Rabbis are myself, Rabbi Zvi Holland, and Rabbi Gavriel Goetz.

We read the first article in the Lev Eliahu who explains the concept of the Universe’s creation in accordance with the Torah that preceded it. We also add some insights into what was written in the Torah prior to Creation. This class was given in the Phoenix Community Kollel on 2/22/23.

**Throwback Episode** Moshe ground up the Golden Calf and mixed it with water. Then he made it compulsory to drink this mixture. This is analogous to the Sotah drinking her water in the Beis Hamikdash. We discuss the lesson of this comparison.

We discuss how the Tabernacle was meant for us to use as an example of how to sanctify ourselves. We read the Nefesh HaChaim and add some novel insights using his perspectives.

We present an insight by R’ Akiva Sofer into the Parsha which is also relevant to Purim. We relate another insight of the שב שמתתא regarding what it means to be truly alive. This class was given at a private residence on 3/1/23.

We discuss the significance of one’s birthday and the impact that one can have during that time. This speech was given at our house in honor of the Sheva Brachos for the Shoshan’s daughter and son-in-law on 2/19/23.

**Throwback Episode** We discuss how it is important for good character to be especially friendly to those that one does not like. This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 9/1/05.

We read the introduction of the Tanya discussing why it’s better to learn directly from the teacher rather to read from a book and mention that this idea was part of Moshe’s frustration with the people’s reluctance to hear the Torah directly from Hashem. This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 2/7/23.

**Throwback Episode** We deal with three Halachic questions regarding getting into various vehicles where one isn’t a driver on Shabbos. This class was given at Ahavas Torah of Scottsdale on 2/4/10.

We discuss the Alter of Kelm’s perspective on lessons learned from difficult situations and how we all are essential good. This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 2/1/2023.

We read the perspective of the Alter of Kelm regarding Teshuva. Where does a person return if they were never there in the first place? This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 1/25/23.

**Throwback Episode** We discuss the specific question of whether machine Shmura Matzah can be used for Seder. What is the difference between matzah made by a machine and by hand? What is the difference Seder night and the rest of Pesach? This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 1/20/10.

This speech was given at Shearim Torah High School of Arizona at a community Sheva Brachos for our beloved son and daughter-in-law Doniel and Chevy on 1/17/23. We explain what was the special nature of the name Moshe and why was Leah to first to thank Hashem in a unique way.

**Throwback Episode** We site a novel source to Shamai’s statement in Pirkei Avos (Chapter 1) that one should greet everyone with a smile. We also discuss that our attitudes largely determine how we feel and our reality.

**Throwback Episode** We discuss what sorts of materials are best for a Chanukah Menorah. We also discuss the Halachic question of whether using glass inserts automatically renders the entire Menorah to be glass regardless of there material that it’s made of.

We discuss how both Yosef and Mordechai becoming viceroys was due to something they had in common. Then we assert the Doniel was similar in his behavior and therefore merited to be in the same predicament. This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 12/14/22.

**Throwback Episode** We discuss how Chanukah is connected to this Parsha. We also discussed the Halacha regarding lighting candle if one isn’t at home. This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 12/15/11.

We relate Rabbi Berel Povarsky’s shlita perspective in his בד קודש about Esav’s logic to attack Yaakov. We also speculate as why the Torah is the diametric opposite of everything that Esav stands for. This class was given at the Phoenix Community Kollel on 12/7/22.
